We contacted BitGravity, they checked said their servers and network were doing fine. Their network starts at California but reaches out everywhere and is optimized for high speed download using carefully planned routes to across the net. Problems tend to appear where the ISPs may not have an optimized network and bottlenecks start.
It didn't help that your problem resolved itself ;) they had some ideas how to help debug the situation for them to look into it, so if it happens again, contact our support and we'll go through those steps.
