Do you have the downloader installed AND running?

ZeroXitreo: Help! I got a new game on my Windows 8 Pro computer, and the game won't download! The description said it was compatible with Windows 8, but it won't download. The game was IL-2 Sturmovik 1946, and when I try and download the parts, they come out to be corrupted. When I try and use the GOG Downloader...NOTHING HAPPENS!

Hopefully someone can respond with a solution, otherwise, I just wasted $10.00!
You're more likely to get helpful advice in the downloader thread. http://www.gog.com/forum/general/introducing_the_beta_release_of_the_new_gogcom_downloader

As for your $10... not every little bump in the road means a wasted purchase. I've bought 100+ games on gog, and sometimes patches or workarounds have been necessary, but I wouldn't consider any of those to be wasted. I'm sure the gog team will be glad to help find and fix the problem.
