So I didn't see a thread mentioning this and the news hit a couple of major geek outlets earlier this week.

If you're saying, "who da fuck?" He's the director of Source Code and The Moon. Now you're saying, "Those are good flicks!" I totally agree but...

He seems to make very cerebral, character driven flicks that don't appeal to a wide audience. Isn't that exactly the opposite of what they need in the director of a WOW Movie/ I mean supposing they don't want it to be a totally ham-fisted flop.

Regardless of which director makes this film, I cannot imagine it will be anything but terrible. I played, and enjoyed, World of Warcraft for many years, but I have trouble seeing Warcraft games made into a decent film. I hope to be proven wrong, but am not particularly optimistic about the potential results.
