Well congrats, because you now own a license to a furry game.
Organic Indie Preorder Pack
For the next few days, if you preorder Natural Selection 2 or Overgrowth, you will receive the other game, for free!
Also, the preorder price has been reduced to $39.95.
You may also view the video here.
What is Overgrowth? the sequel to Lugaru, which features anthropomorphic rabbits, dueling it out, in a kung fu style.
If you are a furry, or you know someone who is, go ahead and get Overgrowth.
I personally am rather surprised I now own a game that will be considered the furriest game ever.
If you already preordered, you already have Overgrowth, you just need to follow the instructions on the first link.

Natural Selection AND Overgrowth? Count me in.
Call me a furry all you want, I want me some ninja rabbits.
Sounds like a cool deal. NS2 is the special version, right?

That is what I have been led to believe, so you will have access to all alphas, betas, and will have black marine armor in the final version.
Sounds good. I loved Lugaru.
But I am concerned about how the distribution works. Are there limited downloads/activations? Will I need to make sure I keep a copy of the installer at all times, or can I just redownload it whenever the hell I feel like playing (then just check my gmail for the serial)?
[edit]Okay, according to this http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/04/wolfire-now-accepts-amazon-payments/ we will get the Steam version of Overgrowth too/Overgrowth will use Steam. So that covers Overgrowth for me, now I just need to figure out how NS2 will be handled[/edit]

ns2 is going to get a steam version. as far as betas/alphas go they just send you a download link. also, ns2 will have nonsteam and supposedly a linux versions, but the linux version is going to come out after the pc version.
don't discount overgrowth, it could even be better than ns2. it appears to use its own engine and there is some crazy tech in there if you've watched some of the videos. it looks like it controls well and i heard lugaru had some of the coolest fighting in a video game.

Overgrowth will have a Linux version, but NS2 is still on the fence.
I don't know if the Linux version of Overgrowth will be available the same day as Windows, but I suspect it will. However, they haven't released a Linux version of the editor yet.

They both use self-made engines actually.
NS2 has some really cool dynamic lighting effects I've heard.

Aye. Lugaru was great.
I am still a bit concerned about how NS2 is going to be distributed (since the Steam-access is not confirmed), but I am mostly after Overgrowth. I figure, 40 bucks for Overgrowth is less than I would pay for a new game, so if NS2 has garbage distribution/DRM models, I can just treat it at an unneeded MP component.

Reminds me of Usagi Yojimbo. Not in style, but... It looks cool anyway. And the editors look amazing as well. NS2 looks good too. I may have to take advantage of this offer.
Already got my free Overgrowth, I was a huge NS1 fan so of course I had already preordered special edtition. :) I hadn't heard of Overgrowth before but since it's supposed to include ninja killer rabbits, how can it possibly be bad? :)
I really recommend everyone who haven't already to buy the 2-game pack (at least on basis of NS1 being completely awesome and the high probability of NS2 being so too).

Also, it's worth noting that both games will have DRM free releases.

Looks like Wolfire released an FAQ today, and one of the questions is about Steam.
http://blog.wolfire.com/2010/01/Organic-Indie-Preorder-Pack-FAQ
Q: You guys are awesome but I am totally faithful to Steam! I will only buy OG and NS2 if I can transfer them onto Steam when you release. What do you say to that?
A: In the case of Overgrowth, you are good to go! Valve has already assured us that we can transfer our preorders onto Steam. See this blog post for more details. Furthermore, Impulse has also agreed to honor preorders. So one Overgrowth preorder will be good on Steam, Impulse, and direct from us on Mac, Windows, and Linux.
In the case of NS2, it is a little more complicated. Unknown Worlds doesn't have it in writing that Valve will distribute NS2 on Steam yet. I am pretty confident on their behalf that NS2 will be good to go on Steam, but it is not 100% confirmed.

yes, but you shouldn't be tied down to use Steams DRM - meaning that you don't have to put your key in steam.
