Hello fellow GoG'ers. Not a long time ago, when I heard about Torchlight I was very excited - oldschool h&s I can play with friend...
WHAT? Torchlight has not coop? In 2009? Are you kidding me?
So, I decided to play something else and I suddenly recalled Darkstone. I played it a long, long time ago and I don't remember anything. So here comes my questions:
1. How long this game is?
2. Is it working on Windows XP (SP3, 32bit)?
3. Is multi still playable today? (I mean, can I make a game and my friend can join it?)
4. What's the level of difficulty? (Torchlight is too easy even on very hard)
5. What kind of save game system is there?
Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.
1. Long enough
2. Works fine.
3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkstone
4. I thought it was easy, it's basically a Diablo clone
5. Don't remember having any issues with it. Think you could save anywhere.
I only played it on PS1 and it was a dull D2 clone, I'd stick with Torchlight at $20.
EDIT: Reading this I noticed it wasn't much help, read above and I feel like an idiot.

It was lots of fun for LAN games but not enough fun that I ever finished it. I had it running on XP with no problems a few years ago, played about halfway through and got bored with it . . . again..
Edit: seem to remember multiplayer was on my Novell IPX server. (it has both protocols)
