Fake or Real ladies and gentlemen?

At this point there's no real point in arguing. A Dark Souls 2 is probably coming, and since there's literally no info in this reveal, whether it's real or not is kind of a moot point.

Looks real to me...? Already can't wait. Hope this game is Demon's Souls quality environments in Dark Souls gameplay style.

Yes, it is true, they showed a trailer on the VGA's. Looks really awesome!

Maybe the PC version will come with proper resolution support instead of having to hack it in this time.

IGN is reporting it, I'm guessing true. Sadly no trailer and the trailer that had been posted in your link is gone.

Since there was an interest enough to get the original dark souls on pc, I'm sure they'll make a pc version for the first release this time. At least I hope so. Maybe they'll make it actually playable with mouse and keyboard on the of version too, though I would on,y use a controller anyway.

Hmm would have preferred another 'spiritual successor' game, the way Dark Souls was to Demon's Souls.

I'll remain wary of this, sequel games haven't been of top quality recently.

Well dark souls ended with a possibility of a sequel happening.

From haven't posted anything on their site about it. Although given how little they update their site, that's not surprising.

Still, even if real, it's bound to be a long way off. Also, any PC version is still very likely to use GFWL, so don't be surprised about that.

Ok, From have now confirmed this with following statement over Twitter:

Even if you can't read Japanese, the important information should be apparent =) But basically it says they've decided to develop it for those formats. Details will be announced at a later date.

I'm definitely curious where they're gonna go with this, especially lore-wise. I also hope they do something to shake up the gameplay a bit, though I'm not sure what.

So, PS3, XBOX, and PC. Hopefully they learned the lesson from Dark Souls 1 PC version well.
Even more interesting, since Dark Souls was more a sleeper hit than a blockbuster, but still, a good sequel is a good sequel.

My frothing demand for the game increases

Wasn't there a developer saying something along the lines of "baww, we feel bad that the game's hard, we'll try to fix it" or something? It made me kinda sad at the time.

Still, cautiously fapping in anticipation, as Dark Souls is a beautiful, beautiful creature.
