Anyone else played the demo yet? Are you as disappointed as me?
There's a topless woman (who will doubtless turn millions of children into porn addicted murdering maniacs as soon as hack journalists see it) and some really really beautiful close up detail on people in cutscenes but judging from the demo, the game itself is an awfully generic god of war clone.
I wasn't expecting miracles but I was sort of hoping it'd be less boring

I must say, I find it quite amusing how for american politicans it is fine to, in a game, brutally murder a family and 1000 other random goons, bathe in their entrails and what not.. but how dare they show a nipple.
Aw, no stream of consciousness review? :)
I was expecting it to be crap (and a GOW clone), just like I'm expecting Dead Space 2 to be crap.

No it occured to me that I should have done that for the demos of both diviinity 2 (short review: Dull, crap controls, badly animated) and this but it only occured as I opened a new thread and its sort of hard to do a first impression again.
I've still got the demo for army of 2 2 to play but since thats only coop (which would have been nice to know before I downloaded it), I need someone else to play it with. The worst part is thats the game I was expecting the least from, maybe it'll surprise me...

Yeah, same here. When I think that finishing a demo is going to be annoying, that pretty much gives the full game no chance

The brütal legend demo was one of the best in a long, long time. Pretty much exact opposite of generic. Which I liked. The over all game was a bit meh though. Didn't like the strategy parts at all. Mind you, I didn't have problems with them ( for some reason a lot of people do ), but it never exceeded the console RTS limitations ( make giant blob, send giant blob forwards ).
I havn't tried the dante's inferno demo yet. Most likely wont in a while either since it probably is not on the xbl marketplace. Ill have to see about my US PS3 though maybe i can get it from there.

Yeah, I was suckered in by the brutal legend demo as well, I thought it was awesome but then the fucking stage battles ruined it. Now I'm actually going to wait for a while with the next Tim Schaefer game
What the hell??? Everything I've heard about Divinity 2 makes it sound amazing; especially from people here. Granted my tablet can't handle it but the videos look pretty good.
nipples are tiny gateways to hell

Fixed.
/agree
Dante's Inferno, that is a game based on a 7 hundred centuries old poem with a gameplay the same as a little more recent console game. Twice unoriginal, twice the lack of desire to even try the demo....

God of War not only had tits, but they were whores! And it was obvious Kratos was having an orgy with them. It's going to take alot to be "controversial" in this day and age.
Speaking of which, whats the point of Dante's Inferno? I read about half of the book back in high school, and while it was certainly interesting, getting through the writing was painful. I highly doubt the game is an accurate retelling of the story. Maybe it's like an action version of that movie with Robin Williams, What Dreams May Come?
