Hey, since some GOGers appreciate indie games, I'll post about this one.
City Rain is a puzzle game featuring ecologically, sustainable city management (not a hardcore simulation, though). It was developed by a team of brazilian students as a XNA project, and it won the Microsoft's Imagine Cup. Now it is available as a full game for PC and xbox live.
There is a 114mb demo and reviews, here: http://www.ovologames.com/cityrain/EN/index.php

I found that one interesting..isn't it kindof tetris meets simcity?
Speaking of which, WHY arn't there more Simcity clones?? That should be an entire GENRE. I hate how difficult EA makes it to get their games, and continue to play them. I would love a digital copy of SC4, but since it's not in the cards...someone immitate!

Yes, that is a proper definition for it.
After that crap called SimCity Societies and milking genres, like The Sims, it is hard to find a SP game featuring this city thing gameplay.
Another indie game, Subversion, is coming out from the devs of Uplink: Hacker Elite, Darwinia, etc. I don't know if it will be MP or SP only, though. Let's vote for their games here. ;)

REALLY? I LOVED Defcon...that could be interesting.
It reminds me a little too much of this: http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-games/2682/the-sims-carnival-snapcity/index.html

It will have procedurally generated cities, but they haven't showed what kind of gameplay it will be. Besides, their 6th project is with a tv channel partnership. ¬¬
Nice, I didn't even know this game existed, among the other 200 The Sims. But City Rain is more of a casual game, still it was recognized at the Imagine Cup and IGF, that's something for a student's game. ;)
