It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I recently bought my first gog game, fallout 1. Upon download, the .exe starts to check its own integrity. This always fails, aborting the installation process with a message telling me to download the setup file again. But no matter how often I redownload the file, the same thing happens. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

I had an issue like this previously, are you using the downloader? if not I recommend using it and pausing the download each 1/3rds of the way through. a pain I know but for some reason it worked for me and fallout tactics.
Also, if you haven't done this lately: Update your anti-virus and anti-spyware apps, then do a full system scan. A tiny bit of low-risk malware might have snuck onto your system, and it *can* cause problems like this.

I'll second this.
The downloader works quite well, and alleviates many problems with browser dl'ing.
Thank you all for your advice! After several attempts, pausing the downloader a few ties actually worked. I have no idea why, but the problem is solved, and I'm happily playing Fallout. :)
cool beans dude. Like I said, it worked for me too. :)
