Reported by the BBC no less.
As a skinny person, I don't care.
as an attractive person, I'm slightly offended because some people who may be over weight are still attractive, skinny != beautiful.
There is nothing new here. That kind of discrimination has always existed and I don't know why it would be different on the internet. And yes, skinny women/men are not always attractive.

IMO, skinny women are never attractive, I like my women with some curves, not sharp angles and bony protrusions.

I agree with the curves part.
Well said btw.
Absurd article. I used to be 280+ pounds, now I am attractive and I still don't think like that. I don't like paperweights on my lap, to put it bluntly. I also don't like breakable things and reinforcement is always a welcome addition to women so I might have sturdy kids someday.
Is this some kind of thread for chubby chasers in disguise?

Oy. Helps to read the report :p
The website is "Beautiful People". It seems to be like a mixture of HotOrNot and Facebook, where you need to meet a certain attractiveness level to be given access. What happened is people (noticeably) gained some weight and their attractiveness levels got too low.
If we want to be charitable (because the alternatives make my heart hurt): They were already "curvaceous" and this pushed them into the "slightly less attractive" category
If we want to burn people at the stake (possibly because we resent something or someone :p): A twig ate a sandwich
If we want to compromise: That website has very high requirements. Furthermore, these people are probably of the variety that actually monitor their weight very closely (as opposed to, "HOLY CRAP! I just lost 3 pounds by taking a dump. Awesome!"). And, as everyone knows, self-image and self-confidence are pretty important to appearance (how you carry yourself, what you wear). So if these people didn't feel "attractive" anymore, they probably looked somewhat frumpy. Thus making them seem even less "attractive".
I think that site condones a mental disorder that pushes obsession about looks and weight. Hence I disapprove because women I go after have ugly duckling syndrome. They were ugly in their teens and developed being nice as a counter to their early builds, but after hitting 20 they get hot all of a sudden. Sometimes 25. Anyway this results in not the cheerleader type hotties, but genuine hotties in and out. That website is just hollow shells taking pictures of themselves........
I'm beautiful. I hate fatties.

Curvy girls are my guilty pleasure.
"Letting fatties roam the site is a direct threat to our business model and the very concept for which BeautifulPeople.com was founded."
Anyone else up for starting a DDOS attack? Even if its a joke, this guy is being a complete cunt. Also stupid, what use is light without the dark to provide contrast (and better music)?
In my experience superficiality is a human constant, those genuinely willing to see beyond the physical are the anomaly rather than the norm. Way back when I was in school, I was still stupid enough to think that other people's opinions mattered, that combined with being fat and getting the apparently compulsory abuse from intellectual inferiors (which was almost everyone at my school, I swear they were all incest children) was one of the primary causes of my depression. If I could change one thing about my past it wouldn't be my weight, it'd be changing how long it took before I started assuming that people were irrelevant until proven otherwise

I think bony protrusions only belong in my pants... >__>"
I find it hard to have pity for people who signed up to that site in the first place.
Also, they should kick Robert Hintze out. I wouldn't call him beautiful in any sense of the word.
