drmlessgames: Was BattleField vietnam as good as bf1942?
no.

soulgrindr: I'm sure they'll add more maps as DLC if it sells well...
avatar
lowyhong: Which probably have to be paid for. I still find it incredible how EA has the conscience to sell cheat codes to its public, and even more amazing is how some people are actually convinced of the DLC's quality enough to fork out money for it
regardless, 24 person limit means no play for me. That's not BF, that's CS:S.

Whats the difference? I mean, from what ive played of the BF games, arent they all the same? 2 teams fight for control points in a map, the more control points allow different respawning points, team that controls all points wins. The levels are big, usually vehicles are needed to move around. Whats the difference between one game and the other?

server size, in bf1942 you can have 48+ Players.

also, realism, in it's day, bf1942 was very realistic in comparison to the actual battles that were being portrayed.
EDIT:
oh wait, I didn't realise you meant between 1942 and vietnam,
vietnam uses weapons that break the balance, it's been a long time since I played, but I remember generally disliking it.

I believe the quoted price is $20
I only played bf1942 and Vietnam.
I enjoyed bf vietnam more tho. But that mostly had to do with having radio's in your vehicles.
I always loved racing to the enemy with an mate gunning them down with the radio blasting nice tunes.

warmonger: the radio blasting nice tunes.
that really was the only good feature about the game imo.

Yea, i meant which one was better, between 1942 and vietnam. So, only map size is the difference?

No, I am not too up to date with vietnam, I just prefer 1942.

Vietnam wasn't made by DICE in Sweden, just some spinoff company in Canada. So not the same kewl factor.
