Hey GOG what are the chances of you guys getting Battle Zone that came out in 1998 up for sale? I had this years ago and would love to play it again.

Besides, if we're going to start having paranoid fantasies about every single major development/publishing firm out there buying up CD Projekt to change GOG...well, that's a pretty miserable existence. :)
Wow, I just wanted to let GOG know I would like to see some Activision games on here and maybe Wing Commander, I could care less how it gets here or what contracts have to be signed, if they offer the great games we used to play back in the day for a good price then more power to them.
With that said I am grabbing Interstate 76 since I used to play that in the leagues back then.

Battlezone 1 is abandonware and can be found at battlezone1.net with some user patches, Unfortunately its not too hot with Windows 7 (+ATI its 100% incompatible unless you want to play windowed 640*480/software mode) but they are working on a new patch (1.5) which hopefully might rectify some issues, don't know about the ETA.

Would be nice still to have some exposure on GoG and regenerate the online community as well as compatibility issues fixed by a professional (paid) team. I bet most of us original BZ1 players weren't in a position (age) to pay the exorbitant internet costs for online gaming. I cannot die without experiencing FPS/RTS combat against a real opponent (Savage doesn't count).

EDIT: I'm so sorry for the necro. I thought it was still 2010 lol. The February poster above me just made it click after posting.

Oh, I used to love Battlezone! Not sure which one I played, but I still have the disc. Which one was the combination tank-combat / FPS / RTS?
Favorite. Game. Ever.

(On PC anyways, though Super Mario World might beat it if we include all games.)

Since this thread is still a top hit on Google, I'll point out that does have the game updated to 1.5 and it's working for me on Windows 7 x64 with an ATI card with no problems encountered yet. It even has a config for XBox 360 controller!

EDIT: I meant to say fullscreen 1920x1200 is working fine on my ATI card (HD 5870 with 13.1 drivers)

Also to mention the Bionite:Origins project. Seems like a remake of Battlezone

Ah the days when demos existed in copious amounts. I remember loving the scifi RTS-FPS mix when i played the demo.
Wishlisted :)
