Anyone else out there wish they would port these console-only titles to PC? I remember playing DA 1 with a friend on my PS2 and having a blast hacking and slashing our way through hordes of monsters and I think it'd be cool to do that again, maybe with online co-op this time.

Those 2 are great. Few years ago I managed to get both for XBOX.

Porting, doubtfully. Some hackers would need to make a programme to allow console games being played directly on PC from DVDs/BLU-RAYs.
To be honest I'm not really bothered. I played them at the time and they were a passable diversion, but I'd rather spend my time with something like Torchlight 2 now.
I too played the first one in co-op. It was kinda fun.
I remember looking boobs of that tavern keeper or who she was.
Also remember saying, look at that water, it looks so good. ^^

But after this time, I doubt that it will happen, I mean porting.
Even a console re-release is almost impossible due to the IP rights being split. I wish I were more careful with the discs of these games. :(
Still have Dungeons and Dragons Heroes on the XBox and play it from time to time on my XBox360... a really good game as well :)
Yeah I also remember playing those games on my PS2. I doubt those games are coming to PC anytime soon. Maybe if the genre is becoming wildly popular again, but given it's current state that's not very realistic. The best way is to get a PS2/Xbox/Gamecube again and play it there. I would go for the PS2 since then you could also buy Champions of Norrath which is equally good in my opinion.

As I really played the heck out of those games and especially Diablo 1 and 2, I preordered Diablo 3 but after about 40hours into the game I just couldn't motivate myself to play on. 40 hours is still more than worth the money I put into it considering the average lenght of most other modern triple A titles, but I expected more. I've bought Torchlight 2 too at the Steam Autumn sale but I haven't played it yet. I'm not in doubt that it's a good game but the cartoony visuals just don't appeal to me that much as the more serious style of Dark Alliance or Diablo 2.

I played these and wasn't too impressed. They weren't bad but typical average console fodder, brainless combat with little else to do. Compared to the full AD&D games, they were a rather big disappointment.
