Has anyone tried Europa Universalis IV yet? Most reviews are very favorable, but I never feel like those are from "real people". At least a few people seem to think it's too dumbed down now. I have not played any of the series, but I'm considering getting EU IV (today!). Any feedback?

I came into EUIV from Hearts of Iron series and CK2. How's it dumbed-downed? I'm already playing my 3rd or 4th game already. Currently on France Ironman and I have a 1/4 of the world in coalition against me. zz I'm over 70 hours played already.

Oh and EUIV can be played without Steam if you want.
