I picked up Pitman on Indie Game Stand yesterday for just a couple of bucks and, seriously, it's the best couple of bucks I think I've spent on a game as Pitman is highly addictive and, being a randomly generated dungeon every time you play, it's a rogue-like with infinite replayability.

Plus games can literally last just a few minutes, which makes it an awesome game to play if you only have a little time on your hands (comes with an Android version as well, so you can play it on the go).

The only problem with Pitman? I'm getting my ass kicked :)

Anyone else?

I was eyeballing it. the art and design seemed interesting.

It's actually an incredibly surprising game.

Looks simple (it's NOT), but has boatloads of levels, equipment, food, spells, and ways of defeating the enemies you come across. And it's devishly hard to beat. I think I've died about 200 times already, but I'm having a blast while doing so :)

BTW, I don't think I've seen a better deal on a game. For just over the minimum (which I think now is at around 2 bucks) you get Pitman, plus a second game Rat King is working on, plus a mini Pitman strategy guide, plus soundtracks of every game Rat King has created, plus wallpapers etc.

And, of course, it's DRM-Free :) Even at the game's regular price on Rat King's website, they only charge about 4 bucks for it. Can't beat it, IMO.

Never heard of it. I'll have to check it out.

Wow, never heard of that -- amazing how many games there are that were probably absolutely amazing and then just disappeared.

It's incredibly fun as it's one of those games where you say "I'll just have one more try" and before you know it it's 4am and you're not getting any sleep :)

What I love about it, though, is when you start off you think it's just a simple game. Then you die. So you try again. And die again. Then you figure out, "hmmm, if I just equip this shield and eat this food I'll survive" - sure, for two more turns until a Level 4 monster gets you right before you get chance to level up yourself :)

Here I was about to skip the Pitman sale.

This is the second Indie Game Stand game I almost didn't buy, and then did and discovered it's one of the coolest indie games out there (the first one was Beware Planet Earth and I loved that game -- keep replaying it just to improve my achievements :)
I got the demo and I'm sorry but it just isn't doing anything for me. I hate it when this happens.

Eh well, you win some you lose some. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing :)
Yeah, that Blinky's always been a pain in my ass.

Oh, pit-man.

I need glasses.
Thanks for the recommendation :) I'm going to get it now

Hopefully you'll like it. Just don't blame me if you don't :)

I love it because it's an awesome game for when you really don't have time to sit down for two or three hours and play. My current games on Pitman are lasting less than 15 minutes.......then I DIE :)
I just folded and picked it up. Thanks for pointing it out, it was an IGS I was planning to skip. I'll check it out later today. :)
