Vagabond: They work on getting rights from many publishers. It's not like it's special when they confirm they're trying to get rights.

Whiteblade999: That is cool, except for I wanted to know if it was looking better or worse. It makes sense that they try to work out deals with many publishers but it doesn't hurt to ask about a specific one if they have already brought it up.

They can't comment on ongoing negotiations unfortunately. However I would settle on them informing wether or not they've tracked down the needed IP holders and have they started negotiatons on the matter.

Same, I just want to know if its a possibility or we are out of luck. It wouldn't break any contracts to simply say "we are in negotiations with this company" or "the company said no to negotiations".

Whiteblade999: I know one of the GOG team mentioned that they were working on something with Troika or the company holding the rights. You obviously can't give out particular info on it because it is a legal issue but just a simple question; is it looking any more possible or are we out of luck?
For those wondering it was mentioned here;

Getting Troika would be very hard.
ToEE: Atari.
Arcanum: Sierra.
V:TM, B: Activision.
Those are, in so far as I know, the companies that own the games.

Activision owns Sierra, or at least did, I don't think Sierra really exist anymore, but I'm sure their back catalogue will be in Activisions ownership now.
I'm looking forward to the inevitable contest with Vampire, where we have to dress up as vampires and send in our pictures to win a promo code.

I'm SO gonna dress up as jeanette! Nothing says 'hot vampire chick' better than a hairy fat guy in a skimpy schoolgirl outfit

Well Activision recently signed with Impulse, so that's not impossible...
Getting Troika on board gog.com would be great. I loved their games! Who wouldn't have loved those titles.

I'd pay up to $0 to see that.
