iWi: You will - maybe not all right away, but definitely some :)
It was originally published by EA and yes - we are working on it :)

Dear GoG,
Please tell me you are pursueing the total war series from Activision........?
In particular; i would love to see Medieval Total War Gold on GoG, reall dream come true stuff.
To whom it may concern.
GOG.com; you guys rock. Thank you for being awesome!
Sincerely,
Tor

BoxOfSnoo: Meh.
Activision as a whole might provide some good games, but the first two releases? Did they really HAVE TO both be horror/fantasy RPGs?
Here's hoping for Sierra...

Uh...Gabriel Knight is a Sierra game. And it's point-and-click adventure. I never played the game (or most classic adventure game) and I even know this. >_>
congratulations GOG !!!!! soon you can rename yourself to AOG (awesome old games) ;)
real, real, big surprise. Hopefully more customers, more gamers discovering (or re-) the classic games that are the foundation for todays big industry. There's a place for everything and everybody in Gaming and GOG is fighting the good fight, letting the roots not be forgotten and replaced by mediocre gameplay sold as innovation. Dare i say it:
VAMPIRES: Bloodlines
is now a real, real possibility. would be the first proper copy I get (steam doesn't count, no extras ;) )
GREAT GODESS!
Thanks for the efforts. GK1 brings me great memories. And I never really had a copy. Now I can have one! :D
NOLF! NOLF! NOLF! NOLF! NOLF! NOLF! NOLF!
Forgot about it, want it and the sequels first...
...and Return to Zork and Nemesis!
Would prefer Vampire marquerade Redemption to Bloodlines because I never played it and just went through Bloodlines recently
Oh yeah, i forgot to add: Congratulations. Its one small step for GOG, one giant leap for GOGkind

Gilthanaz: What, imho, would have been worth a countdown, would have been the acquisition of all the old bullfrog titles
avatar
Shadowcat: That is because you have played lots of good Bullfrog games.
We have played lots of good Activision games, and are excited for the exact same reason.
No one can argue that you're not disappointed; that's 100% subjective. But claiming that Activision has released no more than a handful of worthwhile games in its history is ludicrous, particularly when the reason you are not aware of many good Activision games is that you have not played many Activision games.

Okay, now the fanboyism has to end. I've played lots of Activision games and it's true that there are good games out there. But as much as I recognize they are good games and totally have their place here on GOG (i've just bought Arcanum, because i've never had a chance to try it), personnally I have much more fond memories of other games than Activision's (the only exception would be the NOFL 1&2, which I'd be ahppy to pay for here on GOG).
So, no "you", no "we", please try to understand that every gamer here has a different experience of Activision. And please understand that I find Activision's coming on GOG way overhyped here on GOG, even if I measure what it could mean for future companies signing with GOG.
Dear GoGers. If you already spoil us some goodies, maybe you can make some funny eye-gestures to give me a sign about SpyCraft? :P
Awesome! I've always wanted to try Arcanum! Congratz gog.
I read the Activision published games list in moby games but it didn't for instance include Arcanum. So I have to ask: does Activision own Mechwarrior 3?
avatar
Michagogi23: PLEASE tell me that Activision owns the rights to the Little Big Adventure Series and that it'll be on GOG!! i wud wuv u so much
It was originally published by EA and yes - we are working on it :)

Oh snap! If the LBA games come to GOG, that's an instant buy for me.
HAHA I was just reading through our requests(including mine) lmao, poor GOG
You guys got your work cut out for yourselves, we are such beggarly children, aren't we all?
Godspeed GOG Team, may you keep us content and we keep you funded.
You know what they say (see attached).

I don't really know of any old-ish Activision games, but hopefully some of the old iD games are released here. I haven't had a chance to play Doom 3 yet. :P
I wonder if Activision has the rights to Doom 1 and 2, or if iD/Bethesda has them.
Congratulations to both GOG and Activision!
I am looking forward to seeing the great RPG selection expand quite a bit.
I am excited to see what will be coming in the weeks ahead.
