Thanks GOG Team.
This will be a great year!
Can't wait to get my hands on Interstate 76 again :)
Oh man, bring on Heavy Gear 1. I can't wait!!!!!!
Awesomesauce.
I hope this means Homeworld is coming home soon. And lots of other goodies.
Here's my wishlist of all the Activision, Blizzard, and Sierra titles. If you guys get to at least half of these during the Month of Activision, I will be totally happy (and my wallet will be running screaming, but that's another story):
Battlezone
Betrayal At Krondor (absolute MUST in my opinion)
Blackthorne (again, not sure if they released this one on PC)
Diablo I (plus the Hellfire expansion)
Diablo II (plus the expansion)
Grand Prix Legends (yet ANOTHER absolute MUST)
Half-Life 1 and its expansions (they published it, after all)
Interstate '76
Lode Runner: The Legend Returns
Lode Runner Online: Mad Monk's Revenge (a TOTAL must)
The Lost Vikings (not sure if they ever released this one on PC)
The NASCAR Racing series
No One Lives Forever (another absolute MUST in my opinion)
PGA Championship Golf 2000 (another one where I hope they know how much money it'll make them, better than $0)
Starcraft (plus the Brood War expansion)
Starsiege: Tribes (I'm not sure they still hold the license to this and the sequels)
Team Fortress Classic (another Sierra-published Valve title!)
Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (a biggie IMO)
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (plus the Beyond the Dark Portal expansion)
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (plus the Frozen Throne expansion)
You Don't Know Jack (and lots and lots of the other Jellyvision titles if possible)
I have (obviously) omitted the obvious ones (Space Quest, Police Quest, & Kings Quest), as I am certain that they will release these shortly.
BJ
My wallet is weeping :(
Thanks GOG team! Congrats on this milestone. :)
If they release the old SCI games (space quest, police quest, etc) it will be interesting to see if they release them under dosbox or use the svn trunk of scummvm - given that the scumm team is hard at work on the SCI code at the moment after adsorbing FreeSCI last year.

BJWanlund: Here's my wishlist of all the Activision, Blizzard, and Sierra titles.

Definitely want the Blizzard games, NoLF and Interstate 76.
However, they don't own the rights to Half-Life or any other Valve title. The licensed games like NASCAR and PGA are also impossible. It seems Atari owns the Star Trek license now too.
Ubisoft have the project of launching their own Steam-like platform, with a fatty DRM forcing you to be constantly connected to their masterserver and sh*... yea lol
Like EA did with their EA Store and failed so much they finally put their games on Steam and reworked their store (especially the licence rules)
Just call back Ubisoft in 6 months/1 year, when they'll have forgotten about their :
"OMG DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION WE'RE GONNA MAKE TONS OF MONEYZ !!! NO MORE PIRATING, NO MORE SECOND-HAND SALE, THIS IS HEAVEN !! WE ARE THE NEW GOLDEN-BOYS, BACK TO THE 80 !!" -thing.
You know, after seeing all these things were just BS they kept pulling for years to their investors to justify their lack of +30% benefits each year, the impossible goal that threw the world economy to the ground, they'll contact platform like GoG and get back to business.
...
Yea, it was a busy day, 10 hours of law university, wrote down around 50 pages size 12 pages, kicking the Ubi feels really good (especially when they deserve it) :D
edit : About Blizzard, I don't think they're going to let it go without DRM and for 10 bucks, the latest news about SC2 and Diablo 3 brought me serious doubts about the "new" customer respect policy, they might pull a digital store with their reworked Battlenet 2.0, better follow their moves carefully

taczillabr: Agreed.

I don't understand the lack of soundtracks on many GOG releases, especially these new ones. Robert Holmes and Ben Hogue evidently have no problem with these soundtracks being freely distributed:
Quest Studios GK1
Hogue's site with link to mp3/lossless
Remember to vote for Activision games you'd like to see here. We don't know where all the rights for these games reside, but let your voice be heard:
Mobygames:
Activision (Windows)
Sierra
Infocom
Coktel Vision (a few not covered in Sierra)
That being said - I'm thrilled that the GOG team has secured such gaming goodness. (In my book, Sierra is 'unexcelled'). For working to enable us to relive old favorites (and make new ones), I truly thank you.

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness (plus the Beyond the Dark Portal expansion)

We might see these... In fact - I hope so.

BJWanlund: The Lost Vikings (not sure if they ever released this one on PC)

What the hell do you mean "you're not sure" ? Of course they have !
I even have Lost Vikings 2 on a CD... Then again - the PC version of the sequel was made by *Interplay*, so I have no idea why we didn't get it already... It's SO simple to run it with DOSBox ><"...

nice... I've always wanted to play the Gabriel Knight games, never had a chance. For some reason I'm not too familiar with Arcanum, but from all the positive press on this thread I'll def give it a go
Twinsen's Odyssey, oh damn! I never played it. Always wanted to play that and the Titanic adventure game that's underwater, I don't remember the name. Zork adventure games, are they like Myst? I did not like Myst series because the puzzles are so vague.
As for Caesar III, that game is ADDICTIVE good, even Zeus does not have the same charm as Caesar III.
BTW - since we already have both Ubisoft and Epic on board... where the hell are Rayman and Jazz Jackrabbit games ?
Great news. Maybe come Star Trek classic titles too? The all ST games are in the hand of Activision:
Star Trek Armada I-II
Star Trek Elite Force I-II
Star Trek Bridge Commander
Hmmm, maybe it's just a dream.
