chivalrousrican: Topic's gone stale, but could you or anyone post a sample .inst that works in DosBox Turbo? The CD version of Return to Zork only loads if I imgmount the .GOG file directly. Need to see if mine is formatted correctly for Android's liking.
I can't get Dosbox Turbo to mount a .cue that has separate music files. I think it might be a problem with Dosbox Turbo and I did email the developer but got no reply. Basically if your cue contains a line like: "FILE "Track1.OGG" MP3" it's not gonna mount.

Sounds about right. Hoping it's just a dosbox feature that has yet to get ported rather than an android limitation.

On that note, I've thought about updating the filename calls in the .inst to the full linux format I.e. mnt/sdCard/game/Track1.OGG instead of "Track1.OGG". Same for the .GOG or .BIN call in the .inst. Was hoping for confirmation before I try. [ EDIT: NO JOY WITH THIS. HOWEVER, REMOVING ALL REFERENCES TO .OGG FILES FROM THE .INST ALLOWS THE .GOG TO MOUNT WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE (MINUS ANY MUSIC)]

Sorry for reviving a stale topic, but there have been some big feature additions to DosBox Turbo since my last posting.
DosBox Turbo now supports MIDI sound and IPX Networking, as well as a host of new features.

Here's a video of multiplayer DOOM Deathmatch being played on DosBox Turbo via IPX emulation.
Does anyone know if Dosbox will run on the Galaxy Note 8.0? I have a DOS Forth programming language program that I want to use thereon.

And then --- while the DOS program is running, how do you call up the Android on-screen keyboard? When Dosbox is running, are the other on-screen Android icons still available? Or is the keyboard toggled by a physical button? (I do not own any Android device yet, so I am asking ahead of the purchase, to see if this will work).

Also --- can you display the on-screen keyboard full-size, so that it covers the DOS window while you are typing, then disappears when you are through, leaving only the DOS window visible? Alternatively, can you resize the DOS window and the on-screen keyboard to fit, side-by-side, on the screen?

And finally, can you re-assign keys on the on-screen keyboard, so that special keystrokes can be inputted to the DOS program? I especially need the keys / \ : ; ' " and maybe a few others.

Thanks.

Robert
