Hi,

I didn't know which forum to put this in since it applies to so many games, so I chose this one. If it's wrong, I apologize.

But lots of the much older games where the graphics are, you know, not the best, would look a lot better in small resolutions (or smaller in actual size on my screen). In other words, I've got a 28" FHD 1080P monitor, and when I play a game it always goes to full screen. I don't think the actual resolution changes so the use of the word above is probably wrong, but it just becomes very big to fill the whole screen. And I'm pretty sure they would actually look a little if they were smaller. But I have no clue how to do that.

Can anyone help me with that?

Alt-Enter for windowed mode, drops it down to a window the size of the native rez for the title. Edit: pressing that again takes you back to fullscreen.

AWESOME. Yep, I just tried it with Darklands, and yes, it looks a LOT better in that smaller box to me.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Another way is to go to the game directory and find the .conf file. Open it well text editor and you'll see there are options about fullscreen and resolution.
