Vagabond: I did indeed write the Wikipedia page for Crusader. I should work on getting it as a Featured Article. That'd be neat. :D
I've almost convinced Jason Ely (lead programmer) of the games to send me the only known build of No Survivors, but he hasn't gotten around to that yet. Plus moving to Prague doesn't help.
He's also said that it would be quite easy to convert the game to Windows. He also hasn't gotten around to that. I'll hound him about it sometime.
Oh how I wish Crusader was on GOG...

Brilliant Picture! We will owe you a lot if you can pull off getting Jason Ely to do all the aformentioned deeds!

Only a build? Or the source as well?

Oooh, that sounds fantastic!

Don't we all. Love the picture ;-)
Maybe we could rally the entire GOG army to march on EA's corporate HQ. As a tribute to the recently corpsified micheal jackson, we could do the zombie dance from thriller.
Heh we could even record a remix
"We want crusaaaaaader, crusader now..."

Vagabond: Actually, the text when quitting games is "No pity, no mercy, no remorse" (or regret, if it's No Regret).
No Mercy was being developed and was scheduled for a 1997 release, with multiplayer and an extension to the single-player story. But it was scrapped half-way through, when Origin/EA decided they couldn't go through with it, since Tony Zurovec left to Digital Anvil that year.
Alongside No Mercy, concepts of four other games were in their hats... They were called No Survivors, No Escape, No Quarter, and No Pity.
I don't know much about No Escape and No Quarter, but quite a bit of information about Crusader 2/No Survivors can be found on my Crusader site. Echo Sector. Go to the Design Docs link.

No, the word is "Specialist"

Source of the game. He said it was only 50% done, but it had the multiplayer component... So theoretically we can get multiplayer games of Crusader going once we get our hands on it.

THAT made me crack up. A lot.
I wish I own these games.

I'll give you my entire fortune if you manage to build it on a modern system.

Judasian money doesn't convert favorably to American dollars and I don't believe I paid you for your PM work so your forune may be in the red unless you took some bribes that I had no knowledge of and did not condescend to share the aformentioned bribe(s).....

Well anyway. Entire fortune.
One of my favorite games ever. Damn I loved switching between cool weapons, rolling in and out of fire, sneaking through laser barricades, exploding barrels, and controlling and blowing up robots!
These were definitely beautiful games in their time, too. And I loved the soundtracks. And the extras on the first game were easily among the very best extras I've ever seen shipped out with a game.
