amok: As long as these giveaways are made, I will pop in with that message. The solution is simple - stop making the giveaways, and I will stop also. I know I can not stop it myself, but as long as they refuse to stop, so do I.
I don't understand why, if GOG frowns upon this action, why GOG doesn't make a sticky or something so people know not do make these type of GA's? So, they frown upon it, but don't do anything about it...? That's kinda... iunno

Because they are pretty hands off, and will only intervene when it is brought to their attention. They are trusting the community to be sensible and adult enough to moderate themselves. They will intervene if a ticket is made, though. I do not want to be that guy who does run to big brother each time, I just point out what has been said, and the community do as they will. If it is the will of the community to shit all over gog's wishes in their forum, so be it. (Same as they do not want abandonware links in here, but there are several threads (one recent :)) containing them). I do not want a heavy moderated forum, and GoG staff should use their time on other things than babysitting us. This is the price we pay for low moderation.

If you want to test this, drop them a ticket about this thread and see what happens.
