And The Odd Couple
Didn't even know this, glad I got Dragon's Dogma on Steam. I think my general guideline going forward will be old games on GOG, new games on Steam. There's just too many issues with newer games on GOG.

Tauto: Yes,you are correct. In the long run, with word spread around it will only harm them and cannot possibly be a benefit to sales. This is a must fix,if they wish to compete against the rest. The bare minimal factor should be get ALL games up to date.If unable then they should let people know that a game is not up to date with a short note or tag. Then the buyer can make up their own mind to whether to purchase or not.

Lord_Kane: Capcom hasnt given gog the patch or refuses too.

TheSaint54: Why would Capcom "refuse" to provide GOG with a patch? That would be a negative play for Capcom more than GOG - makes no sense to me
The world isn't always fully reasonable, unfortunately. Anyway, I like lemons.
I have to keep reminding myself not to get Hat in Time here when I do because there's more content workshop wise if purchased on Steam

Steam has a recently updated version of Pyschonauts; GOG's copy is the old original

Some old stuff is broken no matter where you get it - like Lord's of Magic doesn't come with both DOS & Windows installers so you can't tinker with the resolution and it looks like smeared smoo on a 16:9

I think the recent patch leaves Dogma more vulnerable to 'sharing' when applied to a 'DRM Free' game

Granted all GOG's are easily distributed but I suspect they all try and maintain some form of Spidey-tracer in them anticipating some not-so-distant future where the Conservs pass a retro-active death penalty for pirates.

i don't know anything about steam workshop but i do know the gog version of a hat in time is a patch behind the steam version. i tweeted the devs a few days ago about this and it's been radio silence.
