Funny.

But seriously if you want the key, just ask in the clearinghouse thread. Tons of people can't find home for their spare DD keys. I barely found a person to giveaway to myself.
Check PM .

Now I don't have a degree in Maths or anything, but I am pretty sure 4.99 < 5.00.

I don't have a degree in Maths either. So I used my pocket calculator to solve this puzzle. And surprise.... you are right 4.99 < 5.00. ;)

Thanks man but there's no need for it. I will probably buy few more games in this sale and get it anyway (code is unredeemed)

Just shared the story .

Still, these "Marketing methods" are not fair to the consumer...
And GOG is supposed to be the store who cares about the gamers, and be honest with them.

There is a wish for it :

But sadly, I dont think they will ever grant it. Neo-marketing-bullshit is too strong nowadays...
Actually no, I'm not kidding you.

In general, non rounded prices are bullshit. In this specific case I don't really care since it's a free game and we all should give GOG a big hug and shut up.

yes in this case, it's a free game so that's cool. But in general, all GOG games are sold with .99 bullshit (at least in euros).
I would be happy to give one penny more to gog and stop being considered as a cow :/

But what happens when you buy over, say, 600 games? That extra penny now allows you to buy Arx Fatalis.

There was a big chain store (don't remember which) which once tried to set prices simply, halve prices instead of do 1+1, etc. Sales tanked.

They should start a 'buy 600 games, get a $6 game free' loyalty system.

I think, more than anything, this ship has sailed with the introduction of regional pricing. Even if they were to introduce round dollar prices, due to conversion rates you would still end up with unintended psychological/odd prices for all other currencies...
