Don't shoot the messenger. GOG stands by the accuracy of the databases they imported .

Star Wars Galactic Battleground saga is tagged with science and realistic, as is Distant Worlds:Universe, Earth 2160, Sins of a Solar Empire:Trinity, Star Trek: Starfleet Command Gold Edition.

It is quite clear they have a different concept of reality, so quibbling over the number of dimensions is indeed minor.

Well, vague terms like "realistic" can be interpreted and since there is a technology tree, science is also not completely off the tracks. We are in agreement here.

Next time I'll look for onedimensional games. If it shows anything more than a line, then it's a bug.

And it makes me miss Polytron - a modern 2D game - somehow, a Tron Lightcycle race clone with different angles and up to 8 players on one keyboard. That was the ultimate proof, that Massive Multiplayer games don't need accounts and not even a network connection. They didn't want to write "incest".

One of my favourite ones is that Ultimate Fishing Simulator is tagged as FPS.

If it's the case of good old dynamite fishing, then it's certainly debatable both ways, depending on whether using dynamite qualifies as shooting.

I do have a big problem with games tagged as Metroidvanias when they're actually a 2D linear platformer.
