Wonder if this is a fluke? It's on p.8 for me of the sale, no filters chosen, Monday 12am.
Same for me for Oriental Empires Genghis. I added it to cart to be checked out later and now it's not discounted anymore. Steam has the same discount so it should be discounted imho :/
When I asked that question, somebody told me that when the Rivals remake, for the original Sorcerer King, was released on GOG, owners of the old version got a coupon for 50% off the new version. So the new version is technically available discounted all the time, for some people. It's a bug, but that the reason it exists.

Open the game page of Rivals if you own the original version. Then you'll see the permanent discount. It's a weird implementation for sure!

Thanks, but I don't own the Rivals game yet. I was considering getting it in the sale, but when I put it in the cart... no discount (then I noticed it wasn't discounted in the "sale list" either).

Guess this is what Wishlists are for!

Huh, interesting. I think there are a couple "weird" things about this sale. First if's called the "Back to School Sale", But on the same banner, it's called the "End of Summer" sale. The banner is the only place I can find that you can even see the sale items! Usually a page in the general comments will have a link to all the sale items. But this one (in the general comments section) seems to only link to some of the items.

But even the banner click doesn't seem to take you to the games that are specifically in this BtS sale only... it shows you ALL the games that are currently discounted on GoG, with no indication for when that discount will end. Also, 2 days ago there were 9 pages of games on sale. Yesterday there were 8 pages of games on sale. Today... only 7 pages of games on sale! Is this list also the games that were on sale LAST WEEK but are just slowly disappearing?

In other words, if you get to a game off this banner link, you'd better buy it FAST... because there's no way to know WHERE the sale is it originated from and when it will end!

This is just a curious note: I don't like that the game pages don't seem to tell you how long a game is discounted. For example, I often put a game in my basket but don't buy it for a few days. Once it's in the basket, I can't tell when the sale price is going to drop off!

ARGGHHH!!! Here's another "gotcha" from this dumb Back to School Sale!

Yesterday I noticed "The Last Door 2" for $2.49 and put it in my cart, which is 75% off the normal $9.99. Today it's still in my cart for $2.49, but when I go to checkout, it says it's $8.99 for only 10% off!! I almost bought this game for the "wrong price" and didn't notice it until I got to my PayPal page and wondered why the price was so high!

This kinda stuff happens a LOT on GOG and I really don't like it. Grumble grumble...

The only game I bought from this sale so far was "Downfall: Redux". After I bought it, I found out I already owned it! But the GOG sale system NEVER TOLD ME it was in "In Your Library". Only after purchase, did I find GOG had put BOTH the original and the Redux version in my library, when I already owned the original!!!

The Last Door: Season 2 was part of the Weekly Sale (Aug 26) which ended September 2nd, 1PM UTC. Timers on each game page would be very helpful.
What you see now is the Buy Series Discount (10%).

You've had Downfall: Redux in your library before you bought it (again)?

Thanks for the info.

Correction... I had "Downfall" in my library already. When I bought Redux it put TWO games in my library... the original Downfall (that I already owned) and the Redux version. I have a lot of games in my library that I haven't played yet. I look to GOG to display either "IN YOUR LIBRARY" on the sale page, or at the very least, when I go to the store page it usually says "BUY ANOTHER COPY" or something like that... maybe "BUY AS A GIFT" or something, don't remember exactly. This didn't happen this time.

Had I known that I already owned the original, I doubt if I would've found enough "new" to buy Redux, but it would've been nice to have that decision to make. As it was, Downfall looked like something I should own at any rate, but wasn't aware I already owned it.
