Some Quake Arena would be nice, even though I suck at it. :P
Bethesda is strictly Steam-only on digital services.

Grargar: Bethesda is strictly Steam-only on digital services.
For now. Maybe in their twisted corporate logic it makes sense for them to use Steam for DRM and easy patching on newer games (though hopefully Galaxy will level the playing field), but why not throw fans a bone and release the classic id Software titles on GOG?

Because they just don't. They are even selling the old Doom games on GamersGate as Steam keys. No option for direct download.
Now that I think about it, we do technically have some id Software titles, the Catacomb Pack and the Dangerous Dave Pack.

We just want their old school classic games from Commander Keen to at least Doom 3

Same with Bethesda's games themselves. Fallout 1,2, and Tactics has no reason to remain on Steam by Bethesda after it was here for years and was best selling game for GOG.

We want also at least the first 3 Elder Scrolls games. Bethesda can keep Oblivion and Skyrim along with Fallout 3 and New Vegas on Steam if the caremore for thier newer games. We just want Fallout 1,2,Tactics, Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind.

No, it's hopeless with Bethesda. They pulled the Fallout games from GOG once the rights where transferred to them. I'm sure GOG did the best they could to convince Bethesda, otherwise they would not have pulled the insane Fallout giveaway. The Fallout games have no need for patching or any other modern fancy features, so there was no reason to not at least keep the status quo.

Bethesda: "Sure. Here are some Steam keys for you."

Well, two of them are available as freeware downloads, so all you need to do is download.

Have you ever tried OpenArena?

Well there is ArenaSettUp and DaggerfallSetUp.

But to download both DosBox and the game from Bethesda's Website and set them all up maually can be a pain.
Ugh, Commander Keen Episode 3 :(
Finally got round to beating that game this year - was ridiculous! I don't think they bothered to playtest all of the levels
If I remember rightly, you just need to recover the WAD file to play the game so you could easily buy it from steam and not use steam to run it?
I hate 'em.there are 7-8 fantastic games i would love to own
