I realize this is just community and this is probably posted in the wrong spot. Has anyone purchased the new Skyrim anniversary edition and try to install it in Windows 10 just to find out that it will not run. I posted in another area when I did a search for Skyrim I haven't seen any replies don't know how to do tech support can't find any information on my error that I'm getting when I launch my game just so you know the error code is, space 0 XC 0 0 0 0 0 7 b without the spaces I have done all the reinstallations I've reinstalled all of the Microsoft stuff into no avail this game will not work. If anyone has ran into this which surely I can't be the only one please get in contact with me. I apologize if this is posted in the wrong area I do have more information if it's needed I would just like to hear from somebody. Thank you all I love Gog games it's a wonderful place to get DRM free games I think it's great and they're relatively inexpensive most times for the things I want to play. Thank you in advance happy gaming everyone.
Unless someone more knowledgable on the subject chimes in and ideally presents you with a solution to your issue you'll have to wait until Monday, as it's the weekend and tech support doesn't work on weekends.
Even if the support section (still?) says "24/7".

You also might want to check a few threads in the Elder Scrolls-specific subforum:
https://www.gog.com/forum/elder_scrolls_series

Maybe the solution to your problem is somewhere on there. If not, open a new thread.

Supposedly you can reach support directly via: support@gog.com, if you don't want to bother with the chatbot.

Did you try to google the error code? You can find a lot of discussions and some solutions that helped some users, like:

Copying radom dlls suggested in a YT video to your system folders is definitely NOT something I recommend. People do that and wonder how on Earth were their computers ever hacked.

Didn't even watch it. Just saying that a solution came up after 10 seconds of search. If at all, I would put the dlls in the gam dir. And we already had links to the microsoft pages anyway, this was just an addendum.

Highly probable you are missing a DLL file, according to many other people getting that code error. So perhaps grabbing the list of c++ packages will solve your problem?

Normally, one may install them all from old to new. As in the x64...not literally everthing. Though adding the x86 should not hurt. Some older 32bit games need those files....probably not Skyrim, but who knows whats on your pc.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
