Leroux: Brutal Legend
Definitely one of the most creative main menu screens. ;)
I'm sure I know better ones, but off the top of my head the first thing that comes to mind for a strong opening is Homefront.

On GOG and with a fraction of the budget, Panzer Corps does a surpringly good job hyping up a turn-based wargame for grognards.

Dawn of War

Quake 3
I completely forgot to add this one to my list.

The game is "meh", but I still love the intro, especially for this breakbeat track.
I've posted this before, the Liquidator 2 intro never gets old.
Top 3 off the top of my head:
Civilization 4
Warcraft 3 - technically a teaser/trailer.
Dawn of War
Actually a trailer they should have used as the intro.

Telika: Let's also post
Dune ...
in this thread.
Yes, goosebumps! IMO Cryo's best game ever.

Ollie version

Was already mentioned above, but Always to the East always gets me too.
Last Ninja 3 - C64 Intro: https://youtu.be/7IuZ8hVq_8Y
I nearly forgot:
Tie Fighter (talkie edition)

Probably too many than i care to remember, but the following come to my mind right now:

Rogue Spear
Metal Gear Solid
Rise of Legends
Titan Quest

And while it doesn't count as an intro video, the cinematic trailer of Dishonored is excellent.

paladin181: The Witcher
Great cinematic that promised an epic game full of incredible gameplay that we wouldn't actually get for several years after this game. Still one of the best intros ever IMO.
I always thought that the devs actually delivered what was promised in the video. Not that i didn't enjoy Witcher 2, but The Witcher holds a special place in my heart. I guess different strokes for different folks.
The Witcher 1
Another forgotten favorite:

ObsCure

It's so sad that I missed the original version when it was available on GOG. Steam version intro lost all its "early 2000s teenage horror" charm.
Syberia. Even after all this time still beautiful.
