Seems to have been removed from the sticky. I enjoyed the effort and artwork so I hope it's not gone!
The post still exists and replies still seem to be allowed:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/unofficial_dvd_covers_for_gog_com_games

They also removed the Linux FAQ from the stickies recently:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/general_linux_faq_and_troubleshooting

But with how threads are sorted, lack of infinite loading, broken search feature and spam bots plaguing the forum, finding either can be a challenge unless you tick the "This is my favourite topic" box for the posts you want.

The lack of infinite loading is a good thing.

And that thread shows up on the first page on a search for either "covers" or "DVD". In fact there are only a handful of threads with "covers" in the title, and still less than a page with "DVD".

About infinite loading, perhaps it could be toggled on and off, based on the user's preference. But for finding a somewhat recent tread such as the DVD covers one, it could be helpful.

About the search function, in this case, it's indeed feasible to find as it is now, but only because there are few threads to cause noise. If such themes suddenly become hot topics, the amount of noise in the results of a forum search is likely to increase too, making finding anything relevant harder and harder.

Thanks! Appreciate the reply. :)

With pages you can skip ahead and also go as far as you want with no risk of browser slowing or crashing. What can you do with infinite loading but can't with pages?
You can add it to your favourite threads list, or make a bookmark. This is how I keep track of most of the helpful threads in this place.

Searching for threads is wasted time.

EDIT: Ah yes, Auster already mentioned the fav thread function. Still, I'm surprised more users don't use it.

Absentmindedly scroll with a single thumb on one's phone while half-paying attention to something/someone else? =P
If you wait long enough a bot will probably necro it eventually.
They de-stickied it. Somebody should ask a Blue to re-sticky it.

Doubt they will, since the sticky-blind-brigade kept demanding a reduction in the number of stickies and staff said they'll do that.

Honestly, in this case, I'm glad. Leaving aside short-term or time-sensitive announcements (like game delistings), I think the number of long-term sticky threads should be mostly limited to those with broad utility or appeal. I can't imagine that any more than a small (though probably fairly die-hard) minority of GOG customers are still trying to -- or would want to -- make a physical collection out of their DRM-free game downloads.
In other words, it's cool that the thread exists, but it probably doesn't (and arguably never did) need to be a sticky. Actually, that was the sort of more niche topic that Judas' old community stickies thread would've be perfect for...if he or any other blues or mods had the free time/interest to maintain it, which seems not to have been the case.
This board has always had way too many useless Stickies, of which the DVD covers thread was a great example.

Really, the only Sticky should be the forum rules, and that's it...and maybe one or two temporary Announcement threads that always become un-Stickied a week after they are first made.

Anything more than three Sticky threads at one time is ridiculous, and pushes important topics down off of the front page for no sensible reason.
I think this is a good move and people can always favorite the threads they intend to follow up with. No point in clogging the first forum page with countless stickies.

The sticky-blind-brigade Corporal salutes you :P.
