Only savages taint whiskey with additional flavour. Hmph.

That person was wrong, repetition and tradition is what keeps the universe in order. I bet most of you who use extra flavour don't even measure, you just pour it up while singing hooked on a feeling. Different ratio every time, you never know what drink you get.

If I lived by that mantra I'd still be drinking Budweiser from a can.

I do have ice in my whiskey! it's just a couple of degrees above freezing point!

People actually drink that stuff? I thought it was some kind of urban legend to scare people away from the United States.
Like using a stun gun on your genitalia before having intercourse. Why rob yourself of really experiencing that whiskey?

That is correct. It was introduced during the McCarthy era to scare away the Reds with their penchant for vodka. Apparently it didn't work because Hollywood somehow took over.

This is really weird. Whenever I have access to sparkling/soda water I usually add ice, but for some reason it never crossed my mind to add ice when just using regular water :P
I'm way too comfortable right now to get up and dig in the freezer for ice, but I'll definitely add some with tomorrow night's whiskey :)
