Hi everybody, so apparently InExile Entertainment add an "Online Check Requierement" for those who pre order the game and want to access to the pre order bonus, for me just adding a Pre-Order Bonus is despicable enough, they also add secretly a online check that doesn't work properly with GOG Galaxy, thisnis the message I recived form InExile Support:

"Greetings!

The pre-order goods require online verification, and as such, will not be available with the offline installer. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Kind regards,
inXile Support"

I communicate with GOG Support and they are trying to resolve the issue before the next patch, but the fact that InExile put an online DRM is outrageous!
If somebody want to help, please communicate with InExile support (https://inxile.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) and open a ticket communicating the problem to see if we can solve it, I don't care too much about the pre order bonus like a hate their actions of imposing themselves over one of the best aspects of the store, the DRM Free games!!!
I hope we can change this, one message just take a few minutes of your time and let them know we are against of their policies #FCKDRM

EDIT: DRM was officially removed from the Pre Order Bonus!!! Thanks to GOG Support for their help!!!

Add another one to the growing list of DRMed games on GOG. Yeah, feels like a trend, unfortunately.

I really cannot buy games from gog with an easy mind anymore.
Too many games use drm here.
I don't want any more release with drm here, if a game need to use drm they should release the game on another store, not on gog.
If gog continue to allow this kind of behaviour there is no reason anymore to buy games from gog... steam is cheaper and with more games, why buy from gog if there is still drm?

Also inxile should be ashamed of release a game with drm here... even if gog is ok with that kind of behaviour they should not do that to respect customers.

Yes, the Cyberpunk / No Man's Sky situation is bad, but GOG has as of yet not completely given up on being DRM-free, so let's as of yet also not completely give up on GOG? Steam would be explicitly okay with a requirement like this. GOG isn't, and is trying to resolve it. That's why GOG still deserves our money - or at least a wait-and-see approach until they've had time to hash it out with inXile and we can see the final resolution.

Is the pre order bonus this "Colorado Survival Gear DLC" mentioned here?

Perhaps InXile should learn a few things from Grim Dawn dev's on how to add a pre order bonus (the kickstarter cosmetic stuff): a dlc that is not on sale afaik, but it's added to the account separately.

But yes, another example on how gog does not care anymore.

But they have. They don't enforce DRM-free anymore. Sure, the majority of games is DRM-free, but you can't be sure with new releases and you can't be sure that DRM won't be added later in updates. Because GOG doesn't care anymore but allows DRM now.

That means buying here is no guarantee against DRM anymore. Therefore gog is no different from other DRM- agnostic platforms anymore.

For the time being, there is. They state it clearly under the game's store page. If they did this knowingly (i.e. not being a "bug to be fixed") I would definitely send a mail to the EU consumer protection office so they can investigate. Misleading consumers here is no joke.

Yes, OK, the cosmetic stuff is a bit on the line. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to inquire with the local office in any case...

Extremely weak on GOGs part. Seriously guys, get your shit together. How many of these little incidents do we need to read about before you realise that letting DRM into the store effectively kills your brand?

They've been "adapting" their brand from the very beginning. You should invest in a quality crumple zone to compensate.

That’s bullshit.

For their previous games, they were able to provide DRM-free installers for the backer/pre-order content. How did they manage to forget how to do this in so little time?

Yeah, I don't blame GOG at all, they are trying to resolve the issue, this is InExile fault, I always support that developer here on GOG and this is how they treat their customers, I have been trying to access to the content for month and online there is an unlocker for the content, so even pirates have access to the DLC but not a legit owner, "DRM fucking the legit customers since the start"

Yes, that's the one, and yes, is a separated installer called "Colorado Survival Gear DLC" but still after install that one you need to log it through GOG Galaxy and cross your fingers to get it working.

I don't think they don't care anymore, they still release their games with an offline installer and every single update, that means a lot of human work behind it, but this small things that the developers introduce without a warning is what cause all this problems, I know a pre order bonus is a minor things, but it's very annoying, so please, if you can send them a message about it it will help a lot, so they notice this kind of things are unacceptable in the GOG community!!!

Easy, they didn't care about it, InExile always supported DRM Free on GOG, I don't know shat happen this time, but I really hope they solve it soon! :/

It's more extreemly weak on InExile part, they release a DRM DLC in a DRM Free store, it's not their first game here on GOG, they knew what they where doing but didn't care about it and it didn't solved it in the meantime.

I can handle regional pricing if it means getting newer games here as well as AAA games. DRM is however where I draw the line.

They're not? The condition exists in their second party game (Cyberpunk 2077). CDPR has also locked items behind an online requirement, ironically even a GOG Galaxy DRM-Free revolution shirt... Locked behind DRM. They're PERFECTLY ok with it.
