"...the Warhammer Skulls festival is back for its eighth year, and we’ve got some excellent world premieres and other new games to show off on May 23rd at 5pm BST / 9am PST.
...

There are announcements from Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun to look forward to, plus even more news and reveals for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Total War: Warhammer, Blood Bowl 3, Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector, Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, and Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

...enjoy a whole week of offers and freebies, including up to 90% off Warhammer titles. New content, DLCs, and free updates will be available across multiple platforms, including GOG, and many more."

Bold move, considering recent events in regards to not particularly well-received changes to WH40K's lore.
I'm hoping GOG gets Daemonhunters (though very unlikely because Frontier and Denuvo) or, it seems more likely, Inquisitor - Martyr.

Poor reviews on Steam but there's also Necromunda: Underhive Wars. I'll post wishlist links here (credit to CMiq for compiling them)

I'm out of the loop on this one. I will need to do some Google research later. Besides that, I'm kind of burned out on Warhammer 40K games because most have been lackluster. Which you think would be hard to do with a franchise that has such diverse lore.

I heard Inquisitor is getting a offline mode soon. This is one 40k game I would like on GOG.

Yup. Credit to Swedrami for posting that bit of info here:

Since we have more Neocore games here I'm leaning somewhat positively to it coming here, though maybe not right on May 23 or GOG's presumable Warhammer Sale during that time.

I don't want to get too deep into it but I assume Swedrami is referring to female space marines now being a thing.

I played the game years ago on PS4 and really enjoy it. Never got around to beating more than the first chapter tho.

Looking forward to the Warhammer sale now. haha

Thank you for the info.

Female Adeptus Custodes (the Emperor's all-male personal guard), to be precise.
Which, if several anonymous reports from within Amazon/Games Workshop are to be believed, was actually the compromise to female Adeptus Astartes and claiming that they "always have been female too".

Apparently Amazon really wants a female character in power armour to appear in their WH40K live-action series they're developing with Henry Cavill and wouldn't settle for either a Sister of Battle (because too fanatically religious) or a Sister of Silence (because too much vow of silence). Games Workshop, with the little bit of integrity they had left, then offered, instead of the Space Marines, the Custodians to be sacrificed on the DEI/ESG altar and have their lore be rewritten and changed to fit the agenda/check the Girl Boss/Mary Sue quota.
There also have been rumours that Henry Cavill is rather pissed (the Adeptus Custodes just so happen to be his favourite faction/miniatures to paint) but can't leave the project due to contractual obligations.

From what I heard yesterday (take with a grain of salt)...

... Cavill left the project.

Space Marine are not fanatically religious? I would love a show about Sister of Battle.

Custodes, not Space Marines. GW hasn't done that, though the Custodes change could be seen as them testing the waters, so to speak.

Only Black Templars. Space Marines, despite their monastic theming, rituals and praying, are mostly secular and don't see the Emperor as a god, but as their father. Though technically speaking he would be their granddaddy.
They're certainly fanatics, but not religious fanatics.

The Space Marines are a lot like the Brotherhood of Steel, really. They have the appearance and terminology of a religious order, a nod to the Guardians of the Citadel and Order of Leibowitz, who inspired them, but they aren't a religious cult like the Children of the Cathedral were, where they outright worship the Master and want to become mutants to become part of his unity.

The Space Marine sequel also might turn out to be compromised/corrupted by Tzeentch in one way or another too, as the lead/senior writer is one of those progressive zealot types just itching to sneak in modernity-related nonsense into whatever they're writing for, at any given opportunity.

That's concerning.
But it's way off from getting a DRM-free release on GoG anyway, and not just because it's very likely to be tainted by the Mark of Denuvo as well.

NeocoreGames' self-published titles coincidentally are on sale until the 23rd too... well, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is.

To be fair, the last time Warhammer lore was great was probably in the 90s or early 2000s at most. Back then it was a real blast to read through codices and army books even if you didn't play the respective faction. But the creative minds from back then have long left he company and since then very little good stuff has been added while the good stuff that has been there got diluted a bit with every new iteration.
