I installed the 10.? upgrade and could no longer get into the clinic. I did an uninstall using windows uninstaller. Then tried to reinstall...NO SUCH LUCK.
Can't get the game to install again. Backup seems to be corrupt.
WIN 10 8 GB RAM
PLEASE HELP.
I love the game.

Don't install updates without starting a new game.

Make sure the game is actually deleted from your list of installed programs.

Don't install into program files, install a new copy somewhere else.

Make sure no anti-virus is messing up your install.

I am guessing you installed the patch/upgrade during a current playthrough? Much as BlueMooner stated, don't do a patch/upgrade with V:TM during a current vanilla play-through, it won't be compatible with your current saves. I played the game all the way through the first time, just vanilla to the end, and then down-loaded and installed the patch to start a new game. Worked just fine for me...and that is also on Windows 10.

My only advice at this point is, that often when uninstalling the game, you can choose to keep your saves. If this happened, you can re-install the game (Vanilla) hopefully locate your past saves and continue your game. If not, you will unfortunately have to restart your game from the beginning. If that's the case, and you want to play it with the upgrade patch, you might as well just install the patch after re-installing the game, and start a new game with the same type of character you had before, or a new one if you would rather.

Hope this info helps, as well as the other things BM offered.
You might be able to use the console to fix things, but that seems unlikely.

Heh... don't use the 'money' feature... it's misleading
