SargonAelther: It's been released with 1809 and OP is upgrading from 1803, so it would be new for him, regardless of the fact that it's been out "for a while". It's also off by default lol.
Thanks for the tip. I do have a use for that and wasn't aware that was a thing. Also allows pasting directly into any selected text field by selecting it first and then pressing WIN+V. Nice.

Just a bump with some info:

Rebought Steelrising with the recent newsletter discount and it started fine this time. The Windows update actually helped.

Turns out that 5 years might be a bit too long to go without updating...

Anyway, is there some way for me to let GOG know about it? We did some slight troubleshooting in the support ticket when I was refunding after buying it the first time. Will replying to the closed mail thread with help@gog.com do anything?
