kbnrylaec: I doubt how many their games will appear at GOG.
Their announcement focused on Steam more.
It was a strange claim to make in the first place, considering how protective Japanese companies are with their properties.
From their homepage linked by F4LLOUT : ''We will continue our focus on publishing the great games we did secure and the ones we had originally developed for the service, however since there isn't enough of those to justify a 12 month subscription, we will simply be publishing them to Steam, GOG, Humble, and other PC marketplaces as standard releases.''

adaliabooks: Not surprised in the least... it's sad as it would have been nice if it could have succeeded... but I think if it could be done, then it would have been already.

At least they're refunding people rather than just doing a runner with the money...
They're going to refund all of those stolen credit card payments? Cool! :)

F4LL0UT: Had to read up on what Gamepump is to begin with (would it have been so hard to provide any sort of link or at least briefly explain what Gamepump was supposed to be? :P).

For others wondering:
Gamepump homepage
Announcement of abandoning a subscription model
Those are now the same non-informative static page. So: dead.

Oh well, at least they didn't take the money and run. What a shame really.

Darvond: But if they'r refunding, how is the other half of the alleged venture supposed to be funded?
From what I've read the project was started by an entrepreneur of Humble Bundle fame so presumably they do have money. What's more worrying is what I read in a NeoGAF thread, that the founder changed his homepage on some business profile from gamepump.com to a personal one.

He used to work on COD games. Also, it would be very poor form to use money from Humble for personal business ventures.

Well, this post on NeoGAF suggests that he was also somehow involved in Humble Monthly. No idea what that means, no idea if the guy is loaded after all.

Also, despite Humble Bundle donating money to charities, it is NOT a charity. You can be sure that some people got quite wealthy working on it and it would be silly to deny people using their personal wealth to start businesses of their own, no matter where the money came from. Creating a legitimate business certainly beats snorting cocaine from Asian hooker's bellies.
After several days pending, I got my refund.

So, do you think they'll stick to the publishing promise, or will they bail like a man in a cheap boat?

Their promised bonus game is delayed again,
and GOG never admit they cooperate with Gamepump.
I guess Gamepump will be a (crappy) game publisher focused on the Steam platform.
Two weeks passes and Lit is not released yet.

Well, since I have got my refund, I do not really expect to get the game for $0.00.
What is a Gamepump? Is it similar to a penis pump?

Not really, as the first one doesn't work really, and the second one is tried and tested technology that works ;).Cheers
