So, I had a go at creating a win.7 image with updates using the integrate7 tool from:
https://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/417827-integrate7-script-automatically-download-slipstream-all-updates.html

Which was mentioned in a forum post some time back on here. It crashed half way through however and now I have a folder on my desktop which I cannot remove, tells me I need permission from my account. Have tried various things such as command prompt delete, restart in safe mode etc. But the files are still locked and it will not let me remove them. Think it is something to do with disp.exe as the folders are in mount/1, mount/2 etc.
Anyone have a good method for removing these files? Tried disp commands from the net and that says there is nothing mounted, so must be a windows lock somewhere.
The only other alternative I can see is to reinstall windows.
Any help appreciated.

You could try using Unlocker, if it can't unlock or delete the files/folders on the spot,
it will try to delete them after restart.

Also, it happened to me a few times that I couldn't delete .bin files, similar to what is happening to you.
Turns out that these files were associated with VirtualClone Drive which was installed on my PC but Disabled,
so I had to enable it, then right click on the "Disk Image" file and Unmount it, after that I could delete them.

Thanks mate, The website you linked couldn’t find the downloads (were no longer available), but I found them at:
https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/unlocker.html
And that was able to remove the folders after a restart. So thanks for saving me some time there. I have a key for tower of time if you would like it for your help.

I'm glad you worked it out. I already have Tower of Time, thanks for the offer though.
