Why do people even give a shit about rep? This is WAY beyond me.

It seems reputation points, while not only earned by participating in the community forums, can get you some extra credit if you help in any of the game forums.

However, if you get on one's bad side, they can find ways to take away your reputation points just as fast if not faster than you earned them.

While I assume it was tool to use in order to determine either a person to ask or quality of a person's reply, it seems that some manipulation of those points has lead to nothing but FUD.

My recommendation, if you have a question just ask, if you have an answer to it, just answer (and be truthful).

WingsOfRequiem: I recently decided to make myself active on GoG and earn me some good ol' rep,now I mostly worked my ass off in TW2,TW3 and Neverwinter Nights parts and despite me resolving a few problems already,nobody marked their post as solved and so now I understand how actually hard it is to get rep. So to all of you who somehow managed to get that 1k rep damn you people are gods,keep doing what you are doing
While i'm glad u recognise & appreciate the hard work put into this forum by some of the regulars who have high rep, i wld just like to pt out there r also many very helpful & well-respected members here who have unfortunately been hit by trollers into -neg rep. Some r even into -ve triple digits so frankly, rep counts for shit currently.

However, i wld also like to pt out that that number u c below their avatar does not affect their standing here in any way. So my whole pt is that while it is gd to be active & contribute in this forum, u do not need to care or be affected by how high (or low) ur rep is watsoever. Wat's more impt is ur 'real rep' which is measured by ur behaviour & +ve presence here so kudos to helping out in the sub-forums. Keep up the gd work! :)
