I had this for awhile but put it off because its harmless in the end, but still I want to know what's wrong.

I attached the image showing the issue, I have this notification in the Community Tab and I checked my forum replies, but there is no replies at all. The purple circle is still there at all times.

I had this same issue for 3 months and it went away and some reason my reply topics shows I participated in none so it's very odd. I wonder if GOG is gonna revamp the site and fix the old problems over time.

It’s been like it for years, all fixes fail eventually, the purple dot rises here to stay!

Yeah, it's probably a bug that will never be fixed. The forum is becoming a wreck.

Even the search bar has a bug: if you do a search for a game from the forum and there are many results, there's no sidebar to scroll through them. And a similar bug plagues the friends list, again only from the forum.

I have the purple dot now as well. I had some replies but it won't go away. I saw there seems to be a solution but it's not really a big enough of a deal. I kinda like the purple.

Yeah, that's going to come back. I like to hypothesize there's some database file that GOG has to occasionally flush, like the old Outlook blob files.
