Master of Magic Classic / Caster of Magic for Windows

Standalone installer updated: [Windows] CMFW 1.05.01 ⇒ CMFW 1.05.02.
v1.05.02 – September 15th, 2023
• Fixed bug : Confused, Buried, Possessed or Creature Bound units took no damage from effects that dealt irrecoverable damage such as Exorcise or Petrify.
• Fixed bug : Very strong units with high stats and/or many figures sometimes caused an integer overflow crash, especially modded units or units that were granted additional types of attacks by buffs.
• Fixed bug : The game crashed when combat Info was viewed while Ruler of Underworld or Eternal Night was in effect
• Fixed bug : Some script functions without parameters (such as Defender()) did not process the closing ')' in the function, which could lead to early termination of expression evaluation when the function call wasn't the last part of the expression.
• This bug affected the following functions : Attacker(), Defender(), CombatP(), CombatX(), CombatY(), Maxcities(), Maxunits(), SumResourceLines()
• Fixed bug : In the city view, right clicking on an empty unit slot could lead to the game displaying a random unit's information.
• Fixed 1.5.0 bug : When changing planes through a tower, the Patrol order was cancelled on units on the same tile.
• Fixed bug : Pressing the "Wait" button on the overland map applied to unselected units on the same tile and cancelled their orders.
• Fixed Power Link spell description ("four times" was redundant in the text)
• Fixed bug : Settlers without a race showed up as mercenaries. Using them to build a city caused the game to crash because the race was undefined. This bug disregarded the "SettlerMercenaries" setting in modding.ini.
• Fixed bug : AI Settlers with sea/air movement never used towers to go to the other plane.
• Fixed bug : AI Settlers sometimes failed to change planes when standing on a tower.
• AI players are now forbidden from disbanding Settler units when low on food/gold, and will disband other units instead, if possible.
• AI armies will now change planes in towers even if their focus plane is the current plane, if the continent on the current plane has no targets to attack but the other continent does.
• Fixed 1.5.0 bug : The item from The Gift event was given to the player before the event notification was displayed instead of after.
• Fixed bug : When building cities, unselected settlers on the same tile might have been used instead of selected settlers.
• Fixed bug : The Incarnation spell cast by AI wizards failed when the human player already had the Chosen hero summoned.
• Fixed bug : Clearing a lair that has a Vial reward before turn 24 when Undeveloped Start was enabled caused the game to freeze.
• Fixed bug : Animate Ammo added MaxMp instead of MP to units casting it, which was effectively useless.
• Fixed bug : Spell Lock had a resistance of 100 instead of 150.
• Fixed bug : Spell Lock had no effect if a version other than the overland base flag was applied (this only affects mods).

The Slormancer

Updated to In Dev 0.7.0f

Changelog from SteamDB:

The Ancestral Update is now available!

Hello everyone!

The Ancestral Update (v.0.7) is now available!

Adam Nostrus' Trials

Part I and II of the Adam Nostrus' Trials have been added to The Slormancer.

As mentioned in our previous Slormite Chronicles, they are an introduction to the endgame content of The Slormancer.

The Slormancer is now tracking the following data:

• The number of Bosses defeated during Expeditions.
• The highest Reinforcement among your Items.
• The highest Great Forge at Wrath 3+

This means that somes objectives of the Trials will be validated retroactively, while others (listed above) will not.

Ancestral Stones and Ancestral Skills

Have been added to the game:

• The 7th Ancestral Stone.
• The Primal Ancestral Stone.
• The last 5 remaining Ancestral Skill.

With this update, the Ancestral Legacy is now feature complete.

Adam Nostrus, King of Fashion

Adam Nostrus, King of Fashion, our first Endgame boss has been added to the game.

He has fixed stats and will not scale to your Character Level or Wrath Level.
He will be fairly easy to defeat for seasoned players but should be quite challenging for players running Wrath 5 to 7 Expeditions.

This is a first for us, and its first iteration, so feel free to let us know how you are doing agaist Adam Nostrus and if a mechanic is difficult to overcome.

Various Changes and Additions

• The Necromancer and The Dreadful Colossus, enemies you've defeated as Story Bosses, can now appear as regular enemies during Expeditions.

• Bosses will trigger more often during Battlefield Expeditions.

• Loadouts are now saving Character Traits.

• Story Missions from Act 1 to Act 3 can now be chained without returning to the Village when possible.

• Fate-Crusher, Reaper of the Seven & The Great Forge:
• Fate-Crusher no longer grants an unknown and unusable Reapersmith Spirit.
• Fate-Crusher now has a bonus Reapersmith Spirit reward with every Reapersmith Spirit.
• As such, a defeat in The Great Forge equipped with Fate-Crusher will result in you keeping every Reapersmith Spirit in your War Chest.

Bug Fixes

The Might Knight:

• Grappling Hook should now behave and animate properly.
• Grappling Hook should no longer teleport you around.

The Great Forge:

• Light Beam and Ice Bomb should no longer stop as soon as the "Next Wave" Button is enabled.

(Bugs were definitely not a priority lately)

That's about it for now!
Cheers!

Imagine Earth

Standalone installer updated: [Windows] 1.12.0.5860-gog ⇒ 1.14.3.5931-gog.
Update 1.14.3 [September 21, 2023]
• Fixed merchant sometime not arriving at all, when a single spaceport is blocked by other traders. E.g. this lead to a quest not being started in the Joma mission
• Fixed birds sometimes flying through mountains or buildings
• Fixed crash related to birds
• Fixed incorrect number of competitors displayed for workshop planets
Update 1.14.1 [August 19, 2023]
• Fixed roads fading out too early.
Bird Watching [August 17, 2023]
Update 1.14

From now on you can watch birds in Imagine Earth. Soon, more species will surely be sighted. And then we also assign them a central role in the ecosystem or global simulation of our planet. I'm still not sure if they are the right size or if it's a pity that you never get them really close in front of your lens. For example, it was quite a challenge to take this one snapshot for the update.

① Editor improvements
In the editor, the land grab button was overlaid by the purge tool, so you couldn't expand your colony in that mode.
Also, when creating new planets, you can now again predefine the difficulty level a player must master of your planets!
Would be very interested in how accessible you find the editor as such, would it be more exciting for you if you could play multiple planets in a galaxy map or would it be more interesting for you to be able to script complex missions with a story told by voice actors in dialogues?

② New building textures
We have created new roof textures for coal-fired power plants, industrial farm and organic farm. All buildings should create a better visual balancing act between post-industrial look and futuristic appearance. At the same time, the new textures of the roofs should visually connect them, so that they also fit with the quarry and the forestry farm. They now look more like you would build these buildings if you landed on a new planet in a capsule and wanted to provide basic supplies for your colony. I personally feel the style is a successful mix of steampunk and post-industrial age, what do you think?

③ Icons for tree species
The nine tree species of the third vegetation type, which we have affectionately christened Thicket, now have individual icons that make them more recognizable when planted. Thicket tree species grow on wasteland and frost type planets, these worlds offer the most exotic plant life next to mushrooms and terrestrial forests, check them out to see how appropriate they seem to you.

④ More Features & Fixes
• Pause and select button icons were still displayed in the build menu, but did not work.
• Display category and building icons/buttons in build menu with equal spacing at the same height
• Cas in cities do not jerk anymore
• Optimized build process makes updates easier

As always, thank you very much if you had the interest to read this far!
Jens & Martin
Hotfix 1.13.1 [August 9, 2023]
• Fixed graphic errors in transparent building elements, e.g. when placing a new building or in the shield of frontier towers
• Fixed “ambient occulusion” not working
• Fixed two problems that could make the game crash
Customizable Keyboard Controls [July 28, 2023]
Update 1.13

Dear players,

Serious Bros. proudly present the latest minor update for our building and simulation game, Imagine Earth. From now on, you can enjoy customizable keyboard controls! You can imagine how busy we two are keeping the global climate simulation up to date and adding new features. Nevertheless, we wanted to prioritize this feature due to interested inquiries from players.

We know how important control and precision are in gameplay. Every second counts when you're building a thriving civilization and want to expand faster than your competitors. With this latest update, you now have the ability to fully customize your keyboard layout to suit your individual playstyle and preferences.

Efficient and intuitive navigation and management of your cities is the key to success. Above all, we look forward to seeing how you, our dedicated and creative player community, will use this feature.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you. Without your support, your feedback, and your passion for Imagine Earth, this update would not have been possible either.

Further Improvements
• The duration for the production of items through buildings and upgrades has been increased by 25%.
• Additionally, the influence of additional buildings has been reduced. Previously, the time was halved with 8 buildings, but now it's only reduced by 25%.
• Rare resources are now immediately visible again after the blasting of mountains.
• Merchant Quest on Tuto and Joma is now triggered correctly again, even when a dialogue is still open.
• Merchant no longer sells Machinery on Tuto in order not to undermine the corresponding quest.
• We don't show building menu details while hovering over the CityCenter panel.
• We made explosions a bit louder.
• No more warning to be played while a message to the player is active.

In this spirit, we wish you a lot of fun with the new update! Best regards, Jens & Martin.
