A hasty trigger. And I do even own all of the previous games in the series. Sorry.

Should change the topic here to "Games That Were Unannounced But The News Post Showed Up A Little While Later". :)

Just wait a little while and see if there's a news post.

Not always true. Things still get added without announcements (and not just bundles). But I do tend to wait until the 9-10 AM US Eastern time when most announcements get posted before assuming there won't be one.

If a title appears in the catalog and it's not announced, it should count. Any "post if not announced after [time]" is arbitrary, so why not keep things simple?

Please do not stop nor delay posting about unannounced games. I find this thread very useful, even if a news post later appears (which I likely will not bother to read).

Judging by the current home page, perhaps it's also time to add an "unannounced gog new sale" thread.

Sometimes I get the impression that they are waiting for the games to be mentioned here to publish then the news post...

Because threads of this nature are better kept free of clutter, IMO. I really dislike having to skim past all the mentions of games that were announced, just not as early as the early-bird forum hounds visited GOG while having their morning coffee and caught games red-handed without official announcements ten whole minutes [GASP] after they went live. (Some hyperbole there, but not much.)

The topic should be about providing genuinely useful information to fellow users, not just pointing at GOG and crying, "Ah-HA! Gotcha!" With that in mind, I've always used the rule "If a game becomes available for purchase (not just pre-order) and isn't mentioned in any newspost for something like half a day after the 'normal' release window, it's time to post in this topic". Posting here any sooner just clutters up the thread, considering that release announcements often come up to a few hours "late" (and this happens often enough that people should really start counting "a few hours late" as the latter end of the normal announcement window, rather than as "long after the normal time").

Of course, it's not my thread, so my opinion matters no more than anyone else's, and the thread creator doesn't seem to be around much anymore to weigh in, either. :)
Fight against "the globalist scourge" - the reason there is no news post?

Like this one? :)
And of course this one for them, whether announced or not.

Pfft, clutter. If comments would be kept out, you'd go through weeks of actual posts on one page.
And if GOG started announcing new releases late, that's a problem with GOG and the sort of thing that such a thread would actually be expected to cover.
And what if someone would rely on it to see new releases as soon as they appear?
Or what if the poster(s) tend to check, manually or by having scripts run, when games are usually added and not "half a day after"? Or even if the process would be at least in part automated, with a trigger if a title is added and no matching news post appears?

Yes. Exactly like these ones. Favourited. Thanks.
