In a couple of days I collect my new dog Valentina from the local dog shelter so I thought I would hold a giveaway to celebrate.
My last dog, Bonnie, helped me through some tough times and personal losses so when she passed in June it left a big hole in my life, a hole that I'm sure Valentina will fill.

Anyone who has entered one of my giveaways before will be familiar with the rules.

Sorry to hear that about Bonnie. Was it due to old age? What breed was she and, for that matter, what breed is Valentina? Anyway, hope you two will get along real well. Good of you to rescue her from the shelter. :)

I'm always horrified by the conditions some owners put their dogs through. In most cases they should never have had a pet to begin with. Not to mention how neglectful a lot of people here in the US seem to be without even getting that far. When we had dogs in my younger years they were always part of the family, rather than being separated so one can give them attention on a part-time basis and stick them in the yard for the rest. Um, yeah. /ramble

I would love to have dog again. It's been so long. Unfortunately, I haven't had the proper conditions to be able to have one around. =/

Great news, always glad to hear a dog getting adopted from a shelter :D Dogs give you so much love so I can understand why you feel sad bout your old dog.

Congrats, you maybe should of done it sooner, it helps the grieving process although at least you've skipped most of the winter walks. It's good you're not getting a dog from one of those horrible breeders who have no concern for their dogs.
