No, you shouldn't download the game illegally. The game is theirs. They have the right to do with it what they wish. It's is up to them to re-release it or not. It is not up to you to download something which clearly does not belong to you just becausde you think it might not be re-released. What you are doing is illegal and immoral.

I've got a good idea why Captain Claw is not re-released. I alluded to it with reference to it's sequel. Reading between the lines, someone sued them over the title character as someone else created a pirate chicken character based on Captain Hook first. I doubt they could re-release it if they wanted to.

I could say that about all what you had to say. But I'm better than that. If you want your logic to be complete, they'll also come to my home and take the game away from me, because it is 'theirs' and no longer for sale. It is theirs in the sense that they create it for people to BUY IT and play it. When they suddenly decide to not accept profits from a game however, the game has already been released and people will end up making the legacy of said game live on than die. In other words, it's theirs until they take it off store in the sense of how they want people to get it. If they want the game to be fully theirs however, they'll not even release it. No more Captain Claw or GRiD, only "Abandonware Game."
