dragonbeast: Gamers are dead.

But clearly they don't know you have to kill the priest/necromancer first, otherwise killing gamers is a waste of time
This "social" movement is really concerned about the idea of save points and respawning abilities of the players, aka gamers, compared with the poor, tortured, harrashed and abused pixels... OMG they usually cannot respawn... is very cruel... and of course all the actual problems with refugees in Europe come to life because Videogames teach very violent manners and made us inmune to other´s pain... because pixels ...

But I said once, is very nice to turn your childhood entertainment in something "important", you can show you are ".mature " and "compromised" without the risk of drawing Mohammed cartoons...in fact cartoons are evil, more if you draw hot women asses... hot rounded asses are the source of all EVIL.

Please stop once for all to represent women body as an object, preserve women´s dignity with "squared" and masculine hipster shirts, these images are repugnant!!

Funny thing is, those statues and artpieces have been one of the healthiest beauty standards in centuries, and the one that has remained even when others dissappeared. Yet still SJWs attempt to create a sickening and unhealthy beauty standard in which the obese are beautyful and they even lie about obesity being healthy.

I'm always advocating the ancient Greek beauty standards (for both sexes alike) and mind that those are not merely superficial.
The ancient ideal is to constantly train your mind, body and artistic traits so that you become strong, handsome and cultivated on the in- and outside equally. The old tales and statues were supposed to encourage people to at least try to become f***ing demigods!

In the end, that's why I'm reading philosophy and science, training in martial arts as well as building and playing musical instruments on a regular basis on several occasions. Sadly, that doesn't fit too well in modern standards and is seen as a waste of time. I'll be looking like an ancient Greek statue again soon as I did two years ago while playing dancing tunes on my old fashioned accoustic instruments and teaching people some old folk-dances. Oldschool ftw!

I did all that to make myself a better person and improve the way people look at me and interact with me rather than treating me like some kind of ordinary street dog.

Sadly, you can train a lot in martial arts, but the guy who is jacked up on steroids and bench press 200 pounds will be more famous and surrounded by people rather than someone who does healthy martial arts or studies philosophy.

Plus, spending time learning musical instruments is a waste of time unless you plan to make a career out of being a musician.

I'm too short for that and body height is way more important than anything else around the average people if you're a guy, so no cigar anyway. Fun fact: It doesn't matter how large your boobs are if you're a girl though.
There's only use in doing it for myself although people enjoy dancing to my tunes (which are nearly 70 by now) and learning how to handle melee equipment from me.

Only the first glance counts and it's often an illusion. Most average martial artists could flatten those hulks in a second of course but most people don't know that. Philosophy is the least valued knowledge currently although it would be needed badly if you look around what's going on.

That's the capitalistic perspective and the one that was dominant in my family too.

What I wanted to say is, that people should stop being jealous of someone's appearance (including people in video games or ancient statues) and should rather spend time improving themselves than going the lazy way and changing everyone else by nasty manipulations. If I look at the latest AAA games, I wonder why most of the girls I see in real-life do actually look better than the current virtual ones but when I see what is going on in American culture right now, then I stop wondering.

Anyway: Be constructive and always improve yourselves, people.

Want to hear a funny thing? I was discussing about women in video games with my mother (after some idiot decided to edit video game women to make them fat) and I used Tris Merigold as example of a normal healthy looking woman. At first, when I showed my mother the official artwork of her wearing the Blue Stripes uniform, my mother was like "That girl looks like a fucking boy!" then I tell her, "Well, that is because of the clothes, there are actually official artowrks of her naked, if you don't freak out I can prove she is a realistic and healthy looking woman" So she tells me to show her the evidence. And I show her the offical artworks and my mother is like "Well, yes, she looks normal and healthy, If that is how most women look in video games then I don't know what is the big deal".

The point is, there is nothing wrong with how women are depicted in video games according to average women who have no ideology implanted in theri brains. And the beauty standards promoted in video games tend to be healthy.

I hate SJWs and their fat acceptance movement. As a fat man, I find ovese people disgusting and unhealthy, I consider myself rather unhealthy for my weight, imagine what I think of those with even more body fat. Specially those who can barely walk and can't stay standing for a whole hour. If you have folds in your skin because of body fat or you require the space of two on seats, you are unhealthy and wrong.

LeonardoCornejo: True, Birdo was Nintendo's first, and only, "trans" character. However, that is out of the point. The thing is, Samus is all woman. Anyone with a little interest in Metroid knows that the whole series was inspired by the Alien franchise. Samus was basically Ripley with another name and look. She is and will always be a a woman. And since Super Metroid a motherly and womanly one.
I wasn't touching the Samus thing. I was just pointing out that the assertion that Nintendo has no trans characters is provably false.

Just remember that not everyone knows Birdo is transgender. Mostly because in the west that has been kind of downplayed to avoid controversies. For example, a third party game with licenced Nintendo characters called Captain Rainbow was never released in the west because of its humor. Among the jokes there was one about Birdo.

Ahh Ripley...
Personification of endurance, resourcefulness, caring and natural beauty at the same time. I wish there were more like it since those are the treats in women I usually miss in real life. She doesn't even need an unrealistic amount of body strength to be superior.

hedwards: I'm not much of a patriot personally, but American refers to citizens of the United States of America. At least in English, I couldn't care less what the similar words in Spanish and Portuguese mean.

This is an education problem, you have people being educated to think of the super-continent and all the people in it as being Americans. But, how often can one honestly make an assertion about all the people in the super-continent that's actually accurate? Even just restricting it to North, South and Central America still makes it difficult to make any meaningful assertions. In the north you've got Canada, the US and Mexico and a total of 3 different languages being spoken (officially) and a pretty wide range of cultural values.

South America has a bunch of languages that are recognized, and even if you stick to the majority language, you're still talking 2 and a bunch of different cultures as well.
Patriotism is a "con" for "laser" fodder. That's not to say one can't admire aspects of ones nationality (to placate the right wing lynch-mob emerging over the hill) - which of course by nationality I include all aspects of society (to placate the left wing lynch-mob emerging over the other hill). However I don't believe it's just a matter of education - altho it's the education [re: indoctrination] system that's been beating everyone over the head with the blunt implement of political correction for 20+ years, it has more to do with the fact that the PC insanity is being thoroughly ramped up. But personally I don't view us as different races, just all members of the human race. No ... wait ... um ...

No f*cking way! Playing a musical instrument and/or singing is beneficial for you in countless ways - including your health. Its one of the best passtimes/hobbies/professions you can choose for yourself. To hell with so called modern standards, even if you're not that great it's still worth the time and effort.

Shadowstalker16: I remember Vain saying 'diversity' was some ancient principle. He couldn't provide a source of course.
Oh, where do we start. Say, English literature?

That middle age guy? OBSESSED with diversity. Hmmm. What should I do for my life's epic work? Some thing about kings and princesses and great battles, as is the norm nowadays? Oh, no, wait, how about 29 people of common origin telling stories. Outcasts, dirt poor, women, gay people, what have you.

Or, hey, that renaissance guy? OBSESSED with diversity. Hmmm. What's my protagonist going to be... whoohoo, let's take some black guy for a change. Oh, and hey, let's have two women kicking ass in a courtroom.

You could think of your own examples if you tried.
