Yeah might be that, I've sort of been in the grief mode for about a month now, she hadn't eaten more than a bowl of sorbet in about 6 weeks so I was expecting it to happen pretty much every day, thinking it'd be starvation rather than the cancer that got her...

Its not to weird .Resting after intense physical labor especially if it has been raining and is cold is a great feeling. Maybe your so exhausted that you don't even worry about all the shit that's bothering you.
My condolences also.

My whole day involved being knee deep in garbage, avoiding or killing wolf spiders, scratching and cutting myself (accidently) and heavy lifting which has left me in so much pain I can barely move all in very low temperatures and whilst soaking wet. For some reason I feel better than I have in years, what the fuck is the deal there?
Fucking...Wolf...Spiders...-Shivers-
And i'm so sorry about your sister.

Quite. Fortunately for the first one I was holding a hatchet and the spider caught the business end and became 2 half spiders. Well technically a 2/3 spider and pieces comprising another third, maybe thats why the second spider ran the opposite way...

My "bitching" is mostly house related, there has to be something wrong with my electrical, about a week ago, my Xbox fried, then the sewer pump died, then the washing machine and tonight i came back from work to find out that i have no water 'cause the water pump is dead.
Fixing the water pump alone is going to cost me at least 2 grand, and the wife is not very happy about it. What can i do? Shit happens.
And speaking of work, two of my guys decided to go drinking last night and they didn't show up for work today, on making a few phonecalls i find out that they were arrested for DIU, and since it's the weekend there's no-one to bail them out till monday morning, so i have to find two replacements on short notice for sunday morning.
Aliasalpha: Sorry about your loss.

On a less serious note: mine (my sister) is in the hospital until monday (and is making great progress and she'll be out soon etc) and the cute nurse doesn't have to work until tuesday and i forgot to ask her telephone number and FFFUUUUU

I'd suggest "forgetting" something expendible (a book or something) when you go to collect your sister on monday so you've got an excuse to go back on teusday and chat up the nurse.
