Curious about the reasoning behind the removal of REZ, I checked out the Twitter page of Phil Fish. No information about the removal, but I discovered that he had made a VR game called Superhypercube, which I somehow missed during the Steam summer sale. :-(

From there, I suddenly ended up reading about another VR game: Tetris Effect

Of course, everything in gaming will at some point get ported to VR. Tetris getting the VR treatment shouldn't come as a surprise. Yet, this stuff looks seriously awesome. The guy behind the remake is Tetsuya Mizuguchi, who created the psychedelic Rez. Here's the announcement trailer for Tetris Effect:

While there has been lots of Tetris remakes and clones, this looks truly fresh and new. It's for Playstation VR, but I hope it gets a PC port soon.

I dream in Tetris, something I've mentioned countless times in this forum, I don't know if I need VR. :P

And let's not forget, the Tetris movie trilogy being made. :D
On the subject of tetris, I reccomend the graphic novel Tetris The Game People Play by Box Brown. Its a fascinating insight on Alexei Pajitnov, games licensing and rights and also the cold war era.
