It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

mechmouse: I was including 100ish Windows services in with that (and over estimated)

Currently have 60 BG processes running

12 are nVidia
8 bloody keyboard and mouse drivers. I could not use them, but then both keyboard and mouse does a pulsating unicorn vomit of RBG
You could probably replace it with an open source alternative that doesn't suck up so many resources.

I know at some point MS are integrating RGB lights into the OS, But I could do with looking up for open source system. I hate all the propriety stuff I need to just stop a keyboard blinding me

You may have to try a few but most popularly is OpenRGB. https://gitlab.com/CalcProgrammer1/OpenRGB

There is also Artemis, and Lightpack. Further alternatives exist, but those are for Linux.

why = because your system is doing a task in the background ... that normally is a virus scan or file indexing etc
so when you open the Task manager you are saying "i'm back' and please do this task instead... the fact that the task you are now asking it to do is the task manager isnot as important as the fact you just opened a new task

this is also why task manager has a run in the background option to monitor what systems do while 'idle'
