Shadowstalker16: Perfect example of overzealous political nuts trying to beat art into an image that is pleasing to them. GOG shouldn't have complied with the first request at all, and now they'll be looking to take a mile from the inch they were given. Absolutely cancerous.

EDIT: post 30 by Fables on this page : https://www.gog.com/forum/general/was_pony_island_removed_from_gog/page2
It was on the developers request. Do you have a link documenting the ARA's involvement Maxvors?
Just watch the video, it explains everything! :-)

Starmaker: lol, triggered
I didn't know you disapproved of spontaneous outbursts of misinformed rudeness and profanity. Forgive me.
LoL.

Wtf my post got eaten; anyway, I was played, nice one and a fedora tip to Max.

Wtf my posts are getting eaten, anyway, well played to Max and glad it wasn't real.

Well played Max, I got played like a fiddle and glad it wasn't real.

I almost wish that this were real, if only because of the weird box it'd open. For example: does Freedom Planet technically contain animals? If depictions of animals are treated as real animals, would depictions of depictions of animals like the rubber duck in The Longest Journey also count as an animal in need of protection?

Beautiful, weirdly amusing minutiae.

GOG was never going to give up ponies, and those nefarious Swiss took it as a personal challenge. That's how they get you; one minute you're admiring the utility of their army knives and racking your brain trying to think of a setting where both a corkscrew and knife are equally appropriate tools, and the next they've stolen your ponies.

Ditto. It would make for a very fruitful discussion.

Any time we have a saussage-and-wine lunch at work. The tricky one to use in this setting is the screwdriver ^^
I'm thinking that hundreds of years of neutrality has caused the Swiss to become a wee bit delusional as to the issues that really matter in the world.

This is not real, right?

You guessed correctly.

Translated the names would be (more or less) "Ponyspank" and "Beatwhip or Hitlash". Maybe thats a hint ;)

These days something like this could potentially be real. So never hurts to double check. =)

I don't speak the language, so thanks for the translation, this made me smile. =)

Maxvorstadt: You maybe heard, that "Pony Island" was removed from GoG due to swiss animal rights activists. But this is only the peak of the Iceberg!
Miss Ponyklatscher, chairwoman of "Animals R Us", a swiss animal rights organisation, said: "We will force GoG to take all games, that include animals, from the store. We want to protect the rights of animals, no matter if they are real life animals or digital animals!".
For further information watch her speech in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLzxrzFCyOs
Miss Ponyklatscher makes a lot of bold assertions in that video, using absolute terms like "never" a little too often for my taste. (She also has a surprisingly deep voice.)
