Hi there :)

I love survival games and especially post-apo games, with or without zombies : WALKING DEAD, DAYS GONES, DEATH STRANDING, SHELTERED, THE LAST OF US, FALLOUT series, METRO, STATE OF DECAY, OVERLAND, PROJECT ZOMBOID, THIS WAR OF MINE, etc....

But for now, I'm looking for games which are set up in a "post-apo" world but with some specifities : I'd like that the "apocalypse" is the result of the ecological and/or economical collapse of our civilisation, and not because of war, nuclear attack or virus apocalypse. And with no zombies nor monsters.

I have somes ideas : FROSTPUNK and THE LONG DARK (but these are geological catastrophies), FLOTSAM...

Any other ideas ?
Thank you very much !
The flame in the flood?
I believe Miasmata fits that, but I haven't played it.

Miasmata is not post-apocalyptic and one of its central features is the player being stalked by a monster.
Atom RPG is post apocalyptic, but so far I havent seen any zombies in ~17 hours play. There ARE mutants however.

Does feature a reasonable crafting system and various effects of things like radiation, toxicity etc (this can include debuffs from what you eat / drink).

Edit: NVM I missed the no nuclear preference.

In that case, you want something like Marauder: https://store.steampowered.com/app/289600/Marauder/
which is very much more a take on a post societal collapse apocalypse than one of outright geological or nuclear disaster.

If you have a PS2, Disaster Report is about a man made island which begins to collapse due to its poor infrastructure being unable to withstand a freak weather event. It's more apocalyptic than post-apocalyptic, BUT the island is your only enemy, not monsters.

If you don't have a PS2, go find one at a thrift shop. They're usually very cheap.

high rated
You could like, get married! That's a pretty intense survival game.
I dunno, maybe Neo Scavenger?

I've only played for a few minutes so I'm not too sure about the setting and all.

Insecticide....the world has been devastated by a pollen(Iirc) and most humans are now dead and insects rule the world....very nice game.

Does this "apocalypse" ment to be global or can be about just one country? In latter case Paper Please probably fits.
According to its description, The Age of Decadence is set in a post-apocalyptic world, inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire.
Notrium, I Am Alive, Disaster Report (PS2), Raw Danger (PS2), Michingan: Report from Hell (PS2)

It depends on what genre you are up to. There are plenty of survival games without zombies and nuclear bombs.

RTS: Banished, Northgard, Surviving Mars (obviously)
TBS: Thea and upcoming Rising Lords has some survival mechanics
Also, plenty of sandbox games with dinosaurs, sharks, island surviving, home building etc.
I just remembered Horizon Zero Dawn and Mad Max, which aren't survival games but fit some of the other things you are looking for (Unless you count dinosaur robots as monsters). I haven't played Mad Max, but I enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, and since it looks like you have a PS4, you should definitely check it out.

Hi, I can play any style. It's not the "without zombies or nuclear bombs" that is important for me, it's the "collapse of our civilization for economical and ecological reasons".
That's why Surviving Mars and games with dinosaurs, sharks, islands, or other times (vikings...) don't especially interest me in that case :)
Than you for your ideas anyway.

I prefer global :)
In fact Papers Please is a perfect game, one of my favorite :)

Well, it's too "fantasy" for me, but thank you for the idea :)
