I've got a suggestion for whoever makes the game installers. Can you please default 'em to put shortcuts in a "GOG Games" folder instead of all over the shop? It already sucks that the Start menu's sorted alphabetically, instead of by category.

Thank you.
I'd always seen the shortcuts dumped on the desktop, never in the start folder....

There's also an entry in the Start menu. If you check the appropriate box.
This is purely quaint to me seeing as I stopped using systems with that paradigm.

But I thought GOG would have unified their installers to go into "GOG Games".

Ah well, it's just a bunch of poorly implemented shortcuts and program groups anyway.
Default Windows 10’s Start menu doesn’t support subfolders properly (all shortcuts from all subfolders are just listed together without any structure). On Windows 7 they do put everything into common GOG folder.

Was wondering what this was about, since I see all of them in the GOG.com folder...

On 11 they scrapped all 1st party folders entirely.

Anyway, I don't mind. I am fine with apps being organised alphabetically.
